I remember an old thread where a group of friends basically denied themselves treats on holidays and days out for years because one couple in the group were supposedly hard up and they didn’t want the other couple to struggle. It turned out that they actually had saved a substantial amount to put their son through Uni . I wonder what happened next as the OP and friends were absolutely outraged and were going to confront hard up couple, but the thread had reached maximum posts so never knew what happened next . What is the thread that you remember and would love an update on ?

Lobster boy and dd3 moved to Ireland, now have several kids. Last time we connected with @chopinandchampagne she had made a tentative reconnection with them.

The Dyson air wrap was eventually found and returned, there was nothing wrong with it following many lies and diversions. The friendship was over.

Id like to know how Morelegsthanyou is getting on. She’d left idiot DH and her life sounded like it was getting happier.

Id also like to know if twittlebee got her wood back but I fear life got in the way.

THANK YOU! Delighted to know how the dyson saga ended, its randomly crossed my mind multiple times since I first read it.

Does anybody remember a thread about a woman whose household was getting through more toilet paper than she could explain?

I believe the friend had it all along and just made up lies because she wanted to keep it, OP got the original one back. I think another friend had to get involved.

The CF brought it back and I think left it on the doorstep. Great story where the op was unsure about her friend and the friend was having that Dyson. It was left at the hotel ( hours away), it had been robbed. CF lender said her sister had damaged it and gradually there were no other lies apart from a wild dog stole it or the Dyson had self combusted

WynkenDeWorde · 20/06/2025 20:40

I always wonder what happened to MrsHenryWinter. Her threads were so scary. (Abusive husband, she first posted because he had sex with her without a condom without her knowledge/consent - he was trying to get her pregnant)

That thread has stayed with me too. It was genuinely one of the most chilling things I’ve ever read on here.

LumpySpaceCow · 20/06/2025 20:40

Always comment the same on these threads and once got a reply from the OP! It was years ago but there was a poster called 'Mo' and then 'Mokoko' who left a financially abusive marriage.

The woman whose husband left her for an older woman with a budgie.
OP was having a great life without him but husband may have been regretting leaving her. I wonder if life is still good for her

A classic. Thought he was leaving for a sexfest. But it wasn't and the op suddenly realised she was single and loving it. He was out in the cold with his mistress and her pet bird.

CrescentMoonLanding · 20/06/2025 20:43

The one by the woman who had found an engagement ring , she was on holiday and it was in her DPs bedside table but she never posted to say if she'd had the proposal. Hopefully she did.

Who was Kateandthegirls?

LlynTegid · 20/06/2025 20:44

I remember one about a boss who always had a fortnight off over Christmas, yet expected one of her team to wake up early on Boxing Day to check something. Didn't ask well in advance but left an email sent after leaving the office for said Christmas fortnight off.

I hope the team member found another job or the awful boss got sacked at some point, curious to know what has happened since.

Warmhandscoldheart · 20/06/2025 20:45

I often wonder how Polly and her girls are doing, she had about 3 threads. She left her rather dimwitted husband and is hopefully having a wonderful life.

Theguiltygoose · 20/06/2025 20:48

A lady with the user name or title (can't remember) Endless winter, or something similar.

Her husband had left her and the grief and pain of this betrayal was so palpable that I used to tear up reading her posts. She wrote beautifully too, even though there was much sadness in her words.

I often think of her and wonder if the pain subsided and her life started to change for the better. I truly hope it did.

onehorserace · 20/06/2025 20:56

The lady who was being attacked by crows in the park 🤷‍♀️

onehorserace · 20/06/2025 20:56

The lady whose chains from her grandfather clock disappeared - did she ever find them ?

Luanaa · 20/06/2025 20:58

I remember that one, OP!

I still think about the poor lady whose husband was caught on camera (think the camera was in their home conservatory) kissing her best friend, while she was upstairs asleep. It was a sad story and got sadder with the updates. I hope she is happy now.

InAFewYearsTime · 20/06/2025 20:58

The lady whose husband had just left her and her life fell apart, it was heartbreaking to read and I hope she's OK.
Edited to add, just seen someone else mention her, Endless Winter, was so so hard to read.

There was one recently entitled 'how do I tell him' where a lovely woman was being abused by her partner. She came to realise what was going on, got her ducks in a row, secretly rented a house and courageously left him! I think of her often and would love to know how she's getting on.

There seem to be numerous threads like this. Similar scenarios. They leave for their own place and then we don’t hear any more.

We can only assume the crows got her in the end! 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

Nooo! We'll never see crows the same way again .

The one where her husband left her just after Christmas/new year for a woman he met online 7 days before, said he fell in love with her, and went to London to meet her in a fancy hotel she paid for.
always wondered if she was who he thought she was going to be & what happened once he got to London.

haveyouopenedyourbowelstoday · 20/06/2025 21:05

There was a thread 10 years ago from a Welsh poster (I am also Welsh) who’s husband went missing and unfortunately his van was found by a beach and I believe he’d sadly taken his own life. Mamatoto or like that.
His family blamed her.
I often think about her and hope that life has been kinder.

VanillaVein · 20/06/2025 21:06

Found the Crow thread. @ChoccyOrangeYum send us a sign you're still around 😄

Chick981 · 20/06/2025 21:12

The woman who was worried she’d upset a crow and never came back.

I was coming here to say this.

And a poster from a couple of years ago who had done a house swap and they'd left it in a grim condition. She was worried she'd made a mistake but it was a better area. Hope she got there in the end.

One whose husband was monitoring her on cameras and she was preparing to leave.

Lobster boy but see there's a lot of us invested in that one.

The poster last year who suspected her daughter had sepsis, I'd like to know she was OK but could never find the thread again.

During her GCSEs? If so I would like to know as well.

The lady that was in a crash on the hogsback in the snow - I think of her and how hard it was to leave her daughter whilst she was in hospital. I hope she has recovered.

The person with the neighbour who attached a sail to her house.

MindfulAndDemure · 20/06/2025 19:10

I want to know if the poster ever found out what really happened with her dyson airwrap and whether she received a replacement.

I believe it was returned - there was a new thread about it with an update.

Darkling1 · 20/06/2025 21:23

Does anyone have the link to the crow thread please?!
