I remember an old thread where a group of friends basically denied themselves treats on holidays and days out for years because one couple in the group were supposedly hard up and they didn’t want the other couple to struggle. It turned out that they actually had saved a substantial amount to put their son through Uni . I wonder what happened next as the OP and friends were absolutely outraged and were going to confront hard up couple, but the thread had reached maximum posts so never knew what happened next . What is the thread that you remember and would love an update on ?

A poster who lived in Wales and had some personal issues, possibly mental health problems. She was unable to brush her hair and was upset that it was quite matted. I wished I lived nearer so I could go and have a cuppa with her and take her to get her hair sorted. Would love to know if she’s doing ok now.

This one… I often wonder how she is . I think her last post she said they had a great time on the cruise but couldn’t post more as things had escalated even more. Hopefully she’s free of them now

Also the reverse Cinderella story - mum of daughters married a man and wanted his daughter to stay in a hotel when she visited even though the house was paid for by cinderellas mum passing away( this thread made me change my will to ensure my dad gets the house )

This one was ages ago and it was taken down because there was too much identifying detail.
A woman rented an office in an old house - possibly a converted mill - in Essex and weird things started happening such messages written in blood, stuff being thrown around the office and so on. It sounded like a poltergeist.
There were loads of posters invested in the thread, some saying she was making the whole thing up, some suggesting rational explanations and others agreeing there were supernatural occurrences.

I wonder what happened - whether she moved her business elsewhere or whether the poltergeist gave up.

I often wonder about trickytreelou whose husband left her for an OW who was pregnant, then Lou found out she was also pregnant. He left, took all the chutney from the fridge, and Lou had the baby (Adam?) - he must be 10 or 11 now.

sycamore tree - a lawyer and pregnant and found out her boyfriend or husband was cheating and he was buying a house or something - would love to know how she is and her children

The poster who went to NZ with her children and husband and once they were there, the DH left her and his family were appalling to her and her career took a huge hit, and she couldn’t go back to the UK where her ailing parents and friends and support structures and career were because her DH wouldn’t let her take the kids. She was trapped and there was no solution in sight. She was resourceful and I often wonder if she found a way out.

I want to know if the poster ever found out what really happened with her dyson airwrap and whether she received a replacement.

There was a series of threads from a young mum who was addicted to codeine (think her user names were red stripe lassie and cocodemoll) .She had 2 small children with a drug addict partner who took all the family money and was a piece of shit but she thought the sun shone out of his arse. The poor little girl didn't have a winter coat and he'd smoke weed around them. I've always hoped that SS intervened and got the children to safety.

The family had given her the usual list of very expensive presents then once they had been purchased they said that they were going to do secret santander instead. Thos was the fuck you moment. I think she gave all the presents away. Good for her!

She go it back. Even though it had been lost/ stolen/broken according to the CF, the one she got back had the same serial number as her one!

Lobster boy and dd3 moved to Ireland, now have several kids. Last time we connected with @chopinandchampagne she had made a tentative reconnection with them.

The Dyson air wrap was eventually found and returned, there was nothing wrong with it following many lies and diversions. The friendship was over.

Id like to know how Morelegsthanyou is getting on. She’d left idiot DH and her life sounded like it was getting happier.

Id also like to know if twittlebee got her wood back but I fear life got in the way.

The poster from a few months ago, her mother died so she inherited the house. She turned up one day unexpectedly to find the neighbour was possibly using it to let his relatives stay in, police were called and somehow the neighbour lost his shit and got arrested. Then I think there was speculation that she wouldn’t be able to say any more as she was taking legal advice.

There was a really sad one which I think could be genuine, she said her life felt like a prison and her husband was very suffocating towards her to the point where she wouldn't go out, and he controlled what TV and radio they could listen to. I hope she got out and is living a wonderful life now, but if true it's a very sad thread

What happened to the poster (Purplelampshade?) whose young son was in an abusive relationship with an older woman? That was heartbreaking 😔
