Old threads you followed that you would love to know what happened afterwards

I remember an old thread where a group of friends basically denied themselves treats on holidays and days out for years because one couple in the group were supposedly hard up and they didn’t want the other couple to struggle. It turned out that they actually had saved a substantial amount to put their son through Uni . I wonder what happened next as the OP and friends were absolutely outraged and were going to confront hard up couple, but the thread had reached maximum posts so never knew what happened next . What is the thread that you remember and would love an update on ?

Oh God it was a nightmare wasn’t it? Thanks for your kind words. I still can’t believe what I went through with it all. Still, we survived and are here to tell the tale and life is good 🙂

There was a thread - actually quite a few threads, a woman in D&G in Scotland whos husband had died and she was really struggling, had a few children, one being a baby and pets. I wonder how she is doing now, how her and her children are and hope she is doing well. If I remember correctly, we all sent things to help her, coordinated by someone local to the area and on the last thread I think she was getting on track.

Another thread I wonder about was the lady who was depressed and needed some help with sorting out her house... we went to help clean up her house in High Wycombe, sorted everything out and gave her a plan going forward. I remember Lauriefairycakes was there, are you still here Laurie?
