Old threads you followed that you would love to know what happened afterwards

I remember an old thread where a group of friends basically denied themselves treats on holidays and days out for years because one couple in the group were supposedly hard up and they didn’t want the other couple to struggle. It turned out that they actually had saved a substantial amount to put their son through Uni . I wonder what happened next as the OP and friends were absolutely outraged and were going to confront hard up couple, but the thread had reached maximum posts so never knew what happened next . What is the thread that you remember and would love an update on ?

My mum was a Mumsnet oldie and kept in touch with Kateandthegirls. I think she remarried and moved to Florida? (Or moved to Florida and remarried!) Either way, last I heard she was doing well.

Not sure if it’s the same one @NeedyTiger mentioned up thread or a similar one but a few months back someone posted that their husband kept ‘hugging’ them and cutting off their airway

He was ND and some posters said he may be stimming, op also seemed to feel like it wasn’t intentional but they also said that he had intentionally repositioned and squeezed harder when they had t reacted

Everyone told op to leave and how dangerous it was and they never came back

I remember so many of these threads that i have decided i spend way to much time here 🫠

There was one about an allotment where the friend of the seller of the house it came with basically laid claim to it and refused to vacate.

There was one at Christmas where a guy had got his DDs a toy monkey each but his ex wife said they couldn’t take them home with them. There was also two older DCs and they weren’t allowed to take their gifts either.

I could never find the thread again but would love to know what ended up happening

The boy with seizures - there was an update,the family are well, boy cut ties with the weird girlfriend. I think she had sent a note encouraging him to harm his family

She gave an update about (I think) a year ago now,
she’s happy and still with her partner from a few years ago.

I came on to say that one too. Sometimes it just pops into my head at random times!

I often think about her too. I hope she is happy now

Oh God yes that first one! Was that the one with what looked like blood drops around the cistern? I would love to know what happened there!

There was a lady a few years ago who had married (I think) and had a little boy with this guy. He had cameras all over the house and so she couldn’t do anything without him seeing. She got bare essentials together and left and went to her sister miles away. She then found out he’d been using a false identity and a few other things.

Her sister posted and said she was fine a while after, but I often think of her and hope she and her son are doing well.

Softzilla, ran for ages then op had to stop as it went legal. One of the first I followed, always wondered what happened.

But I definitely remember one thread being updated to say a neighbour had been coming in while they were out. Anyone remember which thread that was, or was it deleted? I was sure it was the milk one.

Same here - I’ve never forgotten her. It actually made me set up a direct debit to Refuge, which is still going several years later. I hope she’s ok.

I think she did leave and posted a picture of her lounge with a couple of chairs around a fireplace. Her ex just seemed to text back “bye then”…
Hope she’s still ok and the ex DP didn’t bother her and she’s now happier,

The thread by someone about their father who had a sealed up door or something in an outhouse and it having to be opened?

The poster whose partner drove his van over a cliff was MammaTJ. I think of her often as his family were being awful to her and the house was in his name.

It must be a good ten years ago now but I hope she’s found peace and happiness

This was lobster boy. She’s spent years being thrown crumbs and allowed to see gc then cut off again. The last thread things were improving and op had started enjoying life for herself.

I think this one turned out to be troll. And the rainy puddles with the neighbours who were convinced the water ran up hill. I think the op was sock puppeting on that one

Not sure if anyone remembers this thread but it was a lady who went got a walk or job, and passed by a weird creppy looking house with newspapers or something covering windowsand messages written on them, and then she couldnt find the location on google maps as it would come blank/empty?

Maybe I am totally imagining it it mixing a few threads, I tried to find it later and couldnt find the post.
