Court Order Arrangement

Hi, hoping someone can help me.

My current partner has a court order with his ex for his son.

It states in the court order that in the 6 weeks holiday his son will stay with him for 2 consecutive weeks.

However, he works - do they expect him to book these two weeks off? How does it work !?

The mother doesn’t work at all so she has no issues.

The court expects him to book the time off, organise suitable childcare or a mix of both.

What do you think every other parent does during school holidays? Either book leave or book childcare, it's not difficult

No actually, i have two kids of my own and i work myself always have. She took him to court just because she didn’t want him around and tried to get her partner to be ‘daddy’ she’s not a very nice person and unfortunately is just a benefit scrounger.

Not everyone can afford to do this, we just wanted to know if it meant he needed to book the two weeks off, that’s all.

Jesus, you mothers are rude on here - it’s a genuine question because we was unsure what it actually means !!!!!! we’ve never had a court order before.

What do you mean by she “took him to court”?

Sorry i meant, he took her to court because she randomly just stopped him seeing his son.

Does he not get x amount of annual leave ?
Surely he books 2 weeks of his annual leave so he can have his children in the summer holidays ?

What did you think you were expected to do? Was he thinking he could just leave his kid with his ex for all six weeks? If he didn’t want him he shouldn’t have agreed to have him in the court order.

yes - it’s fine, we are booking it off but we didn’t know what it fully meant there’s not really an explanation on the order.

well it is her son aswell so not like she could moan about it when she DOESN'T work and he does but you lot are so rude - it was just a question to see if that’s what it meant. jesus christ.

Well if he was happy leaving him for the full six weeks why did he agree to have him for two weeks in the summer?

Sorry but I’m having real difficulty understanding how someone can ask to have their child for two weeks, then wonder if that really means they have to have them.

Aren't you pregnant with your second child at the moment? Babies in utero do tend to be cheaper as far as childcare is concerned...

you’ve done your research haven’t you - and i’ve also planned to put little one in nursery when he’s 9 months so i’ve also done mine and can still afford it. jealousy sucks for some mothers ay x
