Yes Sunak was right, but he was torn to shreds for it. I hope Sunak and Hunt have enjoyed watching the chaos of the past week. I miss them. I've noticed that you rarely see labour supporters go after Sunak, they seem to want to gloss over the fact that he was the PM (not Johnson) before Starmer, and that the economy was showing some green shoots. He also provided more nhs appointments without strangling businesses, stomping on the vulnerable, and borrowing eye watering sums. Excuse my bias.
