Vinted issue

I bought two items on vinted, I needed them before Friday so I asked both sellers how soon they could send (both said next day) that was last Friday and they haven’t arrived, not the sellers fault I know but never had this with any other company usually would have arrived within 2/3 days but always find things take longer with vinted now that’s not the issue, both items were meant to be delivered yesterday but didn’t show up, tracking says was unable to deliver and would try again today although I’ve heard nothing so far and tracking hasn’t updated, anyway I noticed on vinted both items have been marked as delivered?! Meaning obviously the money will go to the sellers I know I have 2 days I think to raise an issue so lucky thing I noticed but has this happened to anyone before and what happens now? This is why I’m not a fan of vinted 😣

I don’t really understand how this could have happened unless you press the ‘mark as received’ button.

ParentingHard · 12/06/2025 13:59

No I did not and it’s on both items so couldn’t have accidentally pressed both.

From what I can gather I think the courier has marked it as delivered even though it wasn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️

I can see how they might have done that (and sometimes this happens even when they don’t deliver so they can sign off a parcel quota for the day) I just don’t see how this releases the money to the seller in app as you won’t have pressed ‘everything is ok’

Sunsetsandcocktails · 12/06/2025 14:27

What delivery company did you select? I’ve had this before as a seller, item was marked as delivered on Vinted then the buyer opened a case and I got a ‘transaction suspended’ notification. She had had the same delivery message but no evidence, eventually she found the item in her garden or somewhere random so I think the chances are the courier has delivered just not somewhere obvious.

Open a case with Vinted so they can look into it with the courier but have a good look around as well in places it might have been left

I didn’t mean that it did seems there’s nothing confusion I meant if I hadn’t spotted it it would have as you only get 2 days

Definitely not delivered, I have emails from them
saying there has been an issue and it’s definitely not in my garden; I have a ring doorbell as well and no delivery, this was evri

I had an evri delivery to store last week, marked as delivered. I went to collect and the shop chap told me it wasn’t there and they’d had a nightmare with evri delivering a big bundle of parcels that had been incorrectly labelled at the distribution centre. So they were waiting for evri to come back and collect and take back to distribution centre. Affected a huge number of stores apparently with bundles of parcels being mis labelled and sent to wrong shops. I had to wait a day or two and check back at the shop

megacat · 12/06/2025 19:36

Why do people who have no clue how Vinted works comment on Vinted threads? There is no marked as received button. If the parcel has been marked by evri as delivered then it will automatically release money to the seller in two days even though she hasn’t received it. That’s the OPs concern.

Yes there is, well there's a button where you press to say all is OK or not ok. This then suspends payment until you sort it out. I've had someone do it to me tonight.

justkeepswimingswiming · 12/06/2025 19:41

I get them delivered to my local shop, always comes a lot quicker than if i choose to have it delievered to my address.

riceuten · 12/06/2025 19:49

Had this with Evri before (in one of their numerous reincarnations) - as outlined elsewhere, they’ve marked it as ‘delivered’ to meet their quota, so they get paid. Now normally, it will turn up a day or two later, but on occasion not.

Raise a dispute with the buyer. I never use Evri for precisely this reason, but that doesn’t help you now, I know.

Exactly, it is to confirm the item is ok, not whether it has been received. I don’t need the explanation thanks I know how Vinted works unlike PP.

FanofLeaves · 12/06/2025 20:32

I do know how Vinted works thank you 🙄 I just never get it delivered to a home address, always a shop or locker and I’ve never had this issue.

ParentingHard · 12/06/2025 21:55

I never get it delivered to a shop it’s not my local one and it’s quite out of the way to travel to so that wouldnt be convenient for me. I will stick with yodel in future I think they seem to be a lot more reliable round here.

Agree. Evri are not only useless but completely dishonest.

Wouldprefertobereading · 12/06/2025 23:02

There are problems with some shops and PO’s and the Evri software. The couriers can’t scan the items so the shops can’t accept them. The customer info tells you it’s delivered. It happened to me a few weeks ago. I had to cancel the order and the seller had to repost and I bought them again. They were delivered by the PO second time. EVRI does not acknowledge the problem at all. It’s very frustrating.

For someone so bolshy about being correct, you're wrong.

Are you picking up from a locker or collection point? This can happen if the shop/ locker is full.

Contact customer services and explain what’s happened

whyville · 12/06/2025 23:09

Just to say- if you don’t click “all is ok” and two days pass, Vinted assumes all is ok and clicks it for you/ releases the money.

Hope that clears things up!

whyville · 12/06/2025 23:10

It automatically assumes all is ok and releases money to seller after two days unless seller reports otherwise if they don’t click the all is ok button themselves. @megacat

I don't know why you're tagging me, I'm responding to another poster who categorically said there's no "mark as received" button. There is.

And yes I know if you don't press "all is ok" it'll default after two days.
