How long were you engaged before you got married?

Wondering if my engagement is beyond the average! Google said 15 months which doesn’t seem long to plan a wedding to me!

Ha ha me too. 22 years later and it’s worked out fine!

We weren’t. At the time - long ago! - dh thought ‘getting engaged’ was desperately uncool. We just decided in January, tied the knot in June.
I suppose you could say we were ‘betrothed’ though.

5 years but bame covid for it being so long. would have been sooner if civid hadn't happened

20 months.

We were engaged after six weeks and intended on getting married nine months later but for various reasons we couldn’t so got married a bit later - 14 months from when we first met, so about a year after we got engaged. I didn’t really start planning until six months out.

18 years. We both hate being centre of attention and new my family would have insisted on some kind of do.

Planned a holiday that took us through Vegas and though, well why not and got married there just us and two friends we were travelling with us.

14 months or so

First marriage was 4 years ( I was young) , second and final marriage 17 months…

9months.

And me !

21 months.

We didn’t really get engaged. We decided to get married and did it 3 weeks later (basically as soon as we could) - I suppose technically after deciding to marry we were engaged but there wasn’t a proposal or a ring, just a discussion.

Together for nine years, then ready to actually marry so got engaged, set a date and married 12 months later.

2 years. Mainly due to the wedding venue.

Engaged after just under 6 months and married a year later, 26 year anniversary soon.
