I'm 65 and take one tablet for each
blood pressure
High cholesterol
Cancer
Hayfever
Calcium for my bones.
Turmeric for joint problems.

I thought of taking collagen for my skin and nails but don't want to overload my body.

I thought I was taking a lot of meds but reading these replies it's shocking but pleasing that there is medication out there to help peoples health.

I didn't take anything until I was diagnosed with cancer aged 61.

46 and I take:
HRT
Vit D
Zinc
Magnesium
Folic acid
Iron
Sea kelp
Omega 3,6 & 9
Various others depending on what I feel I need at that time.

DramaAlpaca · 25/05/2025 18:37

I'm 60. I take:

3 tablets for hypertension
A statin
A low dose of an antidepressant
A proton pump inhibitor for my stomach
Vitamin D
Menopace as a multi vitamin
Turmeric for my joints
Magnesium to help my sleep
And on top of all that, I have all sorts of HRT stuff prescribed

Because of all the above I feel great 😁

Conversely, my DH is 63 and takes nothing at all apart from the occasional multi vitamin. He has nothing prescribed.

I am 64 and although I don't take any prescribed medication, I did have high blood pressure, whilst caring for my Dad at end of life last year I and managed to bring it down, to within normal range, with Beetroot tablets, so I take them, plus a tomato supplement (lycopene) for heart health and a sleep supplement (containing passionflower, magnesium, montmorency cherry, chamomile, lemon balm & vit B6) for chronic insomnia.

@Worryabouteverything 70.5years old and take absolutely nothing!!! and my BP is still exactly the same as it was when I was 18!!!

DongDingBell · 25/05/2025 19:01

Typically: vitamin D over winter. Maybe a multivitamin if I'm feeling run down.

This week: antibiotics 4x a day, plus anti inflammatorys twice a day. I'm struggling to keep ontop of what and when and fitting in food. Going back to work next week could be fun. Think I'm going to have to set my alarm clock 40 mins earlier just to swallow a tablet nearly an hour before I eat. It's complicated

Custark · 25/05/2025 19:02

I’m 55. I take a ridiculous amount of supplements. I am always looking for magic bullets to make me sleep well and be less tired, balance blood sugar so I can be less hungry and lose a few pounds, and help with anxiety.

Prescribed: HRT

Vitamin B complex
Chromium
Tyrosine
Fish oil
Antihistamine
Creatine
Psilyum husk
Probiotic
Ashwaganda
5HTP occasionally

Theanine
Gingko

I don’t take all of them every day, and I’ll be cutting down in due course, I’m just finishing up the bottles of some I’ve decided not to take any more.
