Does anyone know if evri are having major issues?
They collected my parcel on Tuesday and tracking hasn't updated since, the delivery date is between 15-19th, I go on holiday next week so hoping it arrives!

Are they ever not having issues?

Just totally random if your parcel turns up in a sensible time (if at all) in my experience.

lil328 · 17/05/2025 08:09

@MidnightPatrol I have never had an issue with them before, but I do get the feeling this is lost, even though it's a big parcel!

We send about 1000 parcels through Evri a year (small business) and only a few have been lost (and that's usually the foreign ones getting lost at customs!).

How far was it travelling... they go to a local sorting depot near where posted, then to one near you, then get distributed to your local driver.

Seamond · 17/05/2025 08:54

I find when receiving Evri parcels, ones from eBay and some small businesses take much longer because probably the person sending has chosen the cheapest option, than places like Next and M&S that obviously have very large contracts with them and get delivered next day.

Seamond · 17/05/2025 08:57

They have just merged with DHL so must be one of the biggest delivery companies now

lil328 · 17/05/2025 09:31

It was coming from London, and I'm in east anglia, it was big company!

Evri have always been great for me, but I live in a different part of the county! I've never had any problems receiving or sending parcels.

lil328 · 17/05/2025 11:08

I am awaiting a response from the customer services at evri, as it should have been next day delivery!

This past month my Evri deliveries have been totally haywire. I’d really prefer not to use them again. I spoke to the Evri delivery guy and he said they’re an awful company and advised to avoid!

Doggymummar · 17/05/2025 11:13

I've sent over 409 this year with Evri and everyone has arrived on time. Not aware if any issues. I have a dozen to post today.

I’m at the point that I will avoid buying from companies that use Evri.

I could give so many examples of dodgy behaviour that has happened in our area. DP was still using them but after today he might change his mind … according to a text he has supposedly missed three attempts at delivery, while reading the paper sitting in a chair next to the front door. Skills.

Touty · 17/05/2025 11:22

I think they have problems with staff retention. Poor pay etc. drivers have to use their own vehicles and only paid something like 50p for a parcel.

HundredMilesAnHour · 17/05/2025 11:26

I’ve had a nightmare with Evri over the past month. I bought 2 dresses (from different sellers) on EBay and both choose to use Evri. Holy hell the nightmare that ensued!

Dress 1: Evri collected it from the seller but never made any attempt to deliver and nothing showed on the tracking for days. Then the tracking suddenly changed to “return to sender requested” except I hadn’t requested it and neither had the sender. ??? Bizarre. Luckily it got back to the sender quickly and she paid for it to be resent and it arrived quickly this time (yesterday!)

Dress 2: Bought in early April from EBay. Evri claim they tried to deliver once but despite me being home and also having an estate manager who accepts deliveries (and monitors cctv on their entrance for any delivery attempts), they failed. I don’t think they actually tried. Suspecting this particular Evri courier was going to be problematic, I redirected the delivery to my local Post Office. And at this point the delivery attempts just died. I chased Evri and their bot passed it to Customer Services. I then received an email from “Claire” apologising and saying it was because the parcel has ‘missed a connection’ but it would ‘be delivered tonight’ (how? The Post Office will be closed?!) and she’d check in with me tomorrow. Of course she never checked in. Two weeks later and the tracking still hasn’t changed so I chased Evri again via their bot. One day later I get an IDENTICAL email from “Claire” with the same bs excuse and promise to check in tomorrow (which of course never happens). That was a week ago. The tracking has finally changed to show that it’s being returned to sender. I’m relieved that the dress isn’t actually lost and hopefully it will get back to the seller, who has already agreed she’ll resend via Royal Mail. It’s been over a month!!

In the meantime, I’ve had other Evri deliveries that have been fine but they have all been from big corporates who use Evri frequently so I suspect they get better treatment as @Seamond suggests. It really looks like EBay have some super budget deal with Evri and that’s why the service is appalling.

HundredMilesAnHour · 17/05/2025 11:28

Please let us know if your response is from “Claire” and its total bs like mine have been. 🙄

Edit: sorry I quoted the post from @lil328 but that doesn’t seem to be working on my iPad grrr.

Ariela · 17/05/2025 12:52

Evri have just been bought by DHL. Hopefully things will improve.

the tracker says parcel is damaged and I need to contact the sender
Claire says parcel is ok just delayed
someone is lying but I’m not sure who either way I’m £35 down and still only have 1 AirPod 🤬🤬🤬🤬

“Claire” is just some lying copy and paste email sent by a bot I’m afraid. The first time I was impressed that it was being looked into but the penny dropped when I received an identical email for a different parcel. “Claire” is just Evri’s way of fobbing you off I’m afraid.

Noshadelamp · 17/05/2025 13:17

I'm so annoyed at them, never using them again, customer service is non existent.

I sold 3 things on eBay. Two out of three didn't arrive, I've had to refund the buyers.

I've tried the chat bot and ringing Evri is also a bit that goes round and round in circles

No one replies, there's no way to find out what happened and there's no way for me to get compensation.

Seamond · 17/05/2025 13:18

I had a parcel that Next sent me that was damaged, I never received it, Evri seemed to have it but Next said it was delayed, it was a sale lamp so could be possibly delayed or damaged, Next reckoned it hadn't left the warehouse but Evri said it was on route, I never did receive it and after a lot of tooing and froing Next refunded me. I still don't know who broke it or if it ever left the warehouse.

Sunshineandrainbow · 17/05/2025 13:19

Not sure but I just received a cat food order which the outer box has been chewed through and the food package chewed through!

Paoa · 17/05/2025 13:28

Evri is the absolute worst, the amount of parcels I’ve had that enter the warehouse on the tracker and then never get delivered and apparently have got “lost” im pretty sure nicked from how often it happens

uncomfortablydumb60 · 17/05/2025 14:24

Speak as I find Evri here are fab
The guy walks in and hands me my parcels when I’m sat in my chair( I’m happy with this obviously.
DPD on the other hand… and as for UPS forget it

uncomfortablydumb60 · 17/05/2025 14:25

It massively depends on area and how large their patch is

Same. I never use them if I can possibly help it.

CozyCoupe · 17/05/2025 14:29

Evri are incredibly reliable round here! I always choose them as the default option. Guess it must depend on your local delivery driver.
