I used to love Cadbury… years ago, now it just has no flavour it’s waxy almost and just the texture everything is off, I like Tony’s and green and black isn’t bad, galaxy I’ve never like too sweet, what’s a good chocolate for a treat?

I like Tony's and Milka

Our family this year discovered this brand, this particular bar is delicious, dark chocolate with cashew butter.

M&S Collection is remarkably good

I also like Chocolate & Love (the dark ones)

EffortlesslyDecluttering · 22/04/2025 21:45

For me Galaxy is still the best, I don’t like Tony’s or Cadburys. But of the more expensive brands I do like Lindt.

saltandvinegarchipsticks · 22/04/2025 21:53

I quite like Monty Bojangles

Fabulousagain · 22/04/2025 21:57

I like Cote D'or

Read the ingredients. Chocolate should all be cocoa based eg cocoa butter, cocoa mass. Milk chocolate should only have milk products added.

They nearly all have other fats added these days. I remember reading pure dairy milk is still OK but Cadbury in general is diluted, I haven't checked.

Ritter is decent as a supermarket chocolate. Aldi does a nice enough range.

On boxed chocolates chococo are nice. Monty bojangles or booja booja maybe?

Unfortunately it's mainly very expensive now.

Marianwallace · 22/04/2025 22:05

I love M&S giant chocolate buttons.

Was going to say not eaten it in 3 years or anything that has coco/chocolate in it.
My last bit was a bag of mini cadbury twirls that i think was the best ever.
But can no longer have any its not discipline its medical.

TheTecknician · 22/04/2025 22:08

Most supermarkets own brand chocolate is pretty decent. Aldi is good value with a lot of variety.

I like dark chocolate and I find the Sainsbury and the Tesco own brand plain dark chocolate bars to be very good. Green and blacks is my favourite. Don’t knock the supermarket own brand chocolate though. I did a blind taste test and preferred those over Lindt.
