Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day & am waiting for it to cool to drinkable temperature. The kittens were well behaved this morning - no mountaineering - they both accompanied me to the loo at 5am, dove downstairs & then came back to snuggle in bed when they realised I hadn't followed. They've had their breakfast now & I can hear them elephanting about upstairs 🤣

I'm just going to sit for a little while & decide whether to go for a nap before I get dressed to head to Morrisons, with the world and his wife probably, for the Easter eggs that weren't bought yesterday while I was out with dd1 🙄.

Dd1 has no plans other than sleep in & I'm not sure about dd2. She'll find some revision notes or something for school to do probably.

Later on it'll be something easy for tea, before an early shower and nice early night for me 💤.

good morning I’m also just drinking my first cuppa of the day . Then heading to sit with my dad for a while whilst I send husband and daughter to Asda to get beef as got everyone here for dinner tomorrow. Good luck in Morrisons it was packed yesterday that’s why I didn’t get my meat as couldn’t be bothered to fight thru the crowds lol 😂. Have a great day everyone

Morning! Lucysmam, these threads give me joy at the weekends, thank you! I'm just finishing my first coffee, having packed DS off to work with a hangover (not my problem) and enjoying the peace in the sitting room. Exh moved out finally last weekend after 10 months of living together whilst divorcing & I'm relishing this being my very own house (I bought him out).
DD is moving upstairs & no doubt will appear shortly. She is Not a Morning Person.

Good morning. Currently sitting in bed in a hotel room having been to a rather fine concert last night. DH has gone to get breakfast, but I'm not hungry so lounging around drinking coffee and scrolling. Plan is to pack up and drive home with a stop off somewhere nice for lunch. We also have yet yo sort out Easter eggs for tomorrow. This evening, I'm meeting some women friends in a local pub for a long over due catch up. Happy Easter for those who partake!

Off to woods today to find some bluebells although it’s a little dull here!

And will tip 1kg bag (I bought over a month ago and haven’t broken into) of mini eggs into a bowl after for the tv watching.

Having a relaxing day as I'm back at work tomorrow, kids are colouring and watching cartoons, DH is laying on the sofa on his phone.

I'm enjoying my coffee and debating what to do for the day, might put the new Minecraft movie on and let the kids have one of their Easter eggs each.

DD wants to bake some cupcakes so will do that at some point.

Might take a nap

Good morning all. Had quite a poor sleep and woke up stupidity early. So have watched a bit of Gardener's World for its soothing properties. Not too many plans today. DS wants to make bread for some reason and then he's got a play date and dinner at his pals later. Not sure if DH is planning to work on our house today or not - he's currently out helping a mate with an inconveniently locked door. We might have a couple of drinks at the pub later or might just loll about in our pants. We'll see!

Had 2 cups of tea and toast and just put the last wash on from our break in Barcelona.

Need to pop to shops at some point to get Easter Eggs (also didn’t manage yesterday). Will drop DD round to her friend mid afternoon and so will have a couple of hours to myself which will most probably involve watching a film and eating my way through a chocolate egg which my lovely neighbour gave to me.

We’ll be out all day tomorrow visiting family and won’t be back until late so making the most of a more relaxed day today!

Still in bed having had cinammon toast and tea for breakfast.

The weather is pretty dull today so I will have a nice, quiet day of cleaning and decluttering , might load something onto eBay.

Finances are very tight at the moment so will be going through my beauty drawer to see what goodies I have stored away to use up rather than purchasing anything new.

It’s all systems go this morning in my house, oh is cleaning the kitchen and I’m cleaning the bathrooms. We’re out at football all afternoon and I want the house in a decent state for tomorrow. Anyone else’s house just go to shit during the school holidays?

Scrambled egg on toast for brunch then we will get ready to watch our team this afternoon. Dd is going out with her nan as she’s not into football, the stadium will be too loud for her anyway. I thought when I had a girl I’d have a concert buddy, very much like you and your DD’s @lucysmam but it hasn’t worked out that way. I think it’ll be my son who’s absolutely dying to see Noah Kahan live. I’ve told him maybe in a year or 2 as he’s only 7 bless him, but he absolutely loves music just like his mom!

@dontforgetme me and dd1 almost bought Noah Kahan tickets on our way into The Range at the end of November 23...then didn't for some reason or other. Still kicking ourselves for that. We also didn't go and see Sam Fender when he played a very local working mens club at the start of his career & regret that! I hope he gets to see Noah Kahan soon 😊

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I had first breakfast of toast and coffee then stripped the bed and stuck it all in the washing machine. Then I emptied and loaded the dishwasher, put piles of rubbish out and cleaned vases. I've just had a Tesco delivery and put it away while the washing is now tumbling merrily. Shortly I'm having second breakfast of a hot cross bun and tea. Later will be cleaning the bathroom, polishing and hoovering the house and resetting the dining table to accommodate two extra people tomorrow lunchtime. It's easier if I do it today. DD has sport normally on a Sat in spring/summer (doesn't stop for holidays) but she came down at 10 last night crying with an earache so she's not going.
I've had 2 hot cross buns and coffee and I'm not going to do much!
Edit have just looked at the weather for the weekend and with today and tomorrow being the nicer days I might go for a bike ride today.

I'm off to my volunteering role at 4, while they watch the footie, then tea, recorded F1 qualifying and a wine or 2.
DS is out at a friend's this evening as usual (teenagers 😂)

I had planned to take DD out to do an egg hunt today however I've been stuck in a cycle all week of going to bed a bit late then waking up stupidly early so now im not a happy bunny at all. Plus DD is constipated so unless something shifts soon we definitely won't be going anywhere.

This thread has reminded me that it's OK to just stay at home and chill.

I’ve finished preparing for DS and family who are arriving this afternoon, I’m having a coffee then I’ll have a shower etc and sit and do nothing but crocheting until they get here.
Dh is going into town apparently, goodness knows why, it’ll be heaving. I’ve suggested he brings back fish and chips for lunch, no idea if he will……
I have a couple of throws to wash but nothing beyond that.

@lucysmamwe we’re about to get tickets for Hyde Park then my oh realised we are on holiday on that date! Hopefully he does another UK tour in 2026, he’s a firm favourite in our house. Also Sam Fender! Unusually we only have 1 gig booked in this year, not like us at all! 2024 was jam packed which is just how I like it!

Good Morning. I did a parkrun with Dp this morning. Now back at home. Had some left over hot cross buns and a coffee. DS1 had a friend stay over last night so they're still asleep. Ds2 is watching wrestling on the TV.
Plan for this afternoon is to do some tidying up in the garden. We're having chicken wraps for dinner and probably watch a film.

Packing for our holiday on Monday. After spending months dreading it I’m finally looking forward to it. Apart from that eating Easter eggs and mooching about

@dontforgetme we have Sunday tickets for Hyde Park - I'd really like to swap them for Saturday ones so I don't have to get a stupidly early train to get to work on the Monday morning 🤞

I was hovering by the front door at 7am waiting for a food delivery van to turn up- willing them not to ring the doorbell and wake the whole house up. It didn’t arrive until just before 8am so I managed to make tea for me and DH and cleaned the kitchen surfaces before anyone else got up. Have just made dauphinois potatoes for tomorrow’s lunch with the whole family (12 of us) and also made a banoffee tart thingy plus a mini chocolate egg cheesecake cake. I’m having a coffee now looking at the garden planning what I need to do this afternoon. Dd has a hair appointment in town before a crowd of her friends arrive here for an indoor BBQ ( as the weather isn’t looking promising) . We are off out this evening with friends for dinner and a film. Think I will need a rest beforehand.

Had a lazy morning drinking coffee. Now just waiting for my friend to arrive then we're heading to a pretty market town for lunch and shopping.

Tonight will be snacks and a movie with DH.

Morning, got up and straight out the house to do weekly shop. Came back about an hour ago. Scrolled on phone then rang mum and sister for catch up calls. Now having a late breakfast of porridge with blueberries then going to have a hot cross bun and have a coffee. This afternoon going write some letters to some friends and read my book. Possibly may do a jigsaw puzzle. Then later we DH and I have our friend over for Tapas and they will play Table Tennis. Two DD’s teen and tween are staying with their gran another night so a bit of free time.
