Left for me

OP posts:
Ohthatsabitshit · 18/04/2025 13:09

Neither, mine is nicer.

SpringIsSpringing25 · 18/04/2025 13:10

Left.

Gizlotsmum · 18/04/2025 13:11

left as I look at it from the road

Chasingsquirrels · 18/04/2025 13:24

Right is falling apart (literally, it hasn't been lived in for at least a decade). It is a post war Airey construction semi. The only thing going for it now is the size of the plot, but basically needs both sides of the semi demolishing and new builds replacing (which is what mine & LHS were 27 years ago).

Left was built identically to mine, has a slightly smaller plot but is at an angle to mine so gets different sun times. They've knocked through the, slightly offset, kitchen & dining room. I've added a study and a conservatory.

On balance I prefer mine to either side.

Teajenny7 · 18/04/2025 13:25

Happy where am.

BottleBlondeMachiavelli · 18/04/2025 13:31

These are Georgian terraces. Even the late night returnees try to enter the wrong house, that’s how identical they are. Mine has only become distinguishable with (extensive, expensive) planting, so I’m not moving now.

SpaceBunHun · 18/04/2025 13:33

The field to our right has sheep, the field to the left has cows.

Would probably opt for the cows.

Rockfordpeach · 18/04/2025 13:34

Left as its end of terrace

squashyhat · 18/04/2025 13:35

Right (attached semi) because it has a slightly bigger garden and a lovely extension. But only as long as I can keep me as a neighbour. I'm awesome Grin

Somuchfree · 18/04/2025 13:35

Tricky because mine has more living space and is smarter than either, but if pushed, I'd go left because they have a garage.

yomellamoHelly · 18/04/2025 13:37

Left definitely (the other half of our semi). Is smaller and hasn't been touched since we moved in, but could sort that out.
Gets us further away from the neighbours on the other side...!

fruitypancake · 18/04/2025 13:38

Opposite please

ForFunGoose · 18/04/2025 13:39

Right, nothing on left .

DustyMaiden · 18/04/2025 13:39

No

Oldraver · 18/04/2025 13:41

As I look from the front towards my house

Right, no as it's much smaller than mine and now has a garage turned into a bedroom that is t three rooms from a loo

Left yesterday, as it has a really nice conservatory/extension though the parking is shit. First thing I would do is take down the shitty fence they put up

Tarkan · 18/04/2025 13:43

Neither. I prefer exactly where we are.

Mydoglovescheese · 18/04/2025 13:49

Right for me as it is 3 bed detached. House on left is 2 bed semi.

Intranslation · 18/04/2025 13:52

Neither, but there is one 30 secs away I'd love to move too. Current residents great friends of ours have done a great job with it and have a bigger garden

ScentOfAMoomin · 18/04/2025 13:52

Happy where I am, but right has an extension so more space. It also would means a move closer to a home that stinks of cannabis and two homes with very aggressive dogs, so I’ll stay put thanks.

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 18/04/2025 13:54

Left is a Lebanese restaurant. Right is a brand new build of gorgeous apartments.

Im going left tbh 😂

TwentyKittens · 18/04/2025 13:54

Right as I'm sitting in the living room, left if you'relooking from the outside. It's end of terrace with a nice big extension, a fully fitted out new garage, and a big garden!

RaraRachael · 18/04/2025 13:58

Neither.

Right - I'be on the road
Left ' A house half the size of mine

Mamadothehump · 18/04/2025 14:02

Neither. We bought ours as a new build 20 years ago and as we got in so early, pretty much had our pick of the site

SunnyDaysChillyNights · 18/04/2025 14:08

The house through the wall is a mirror image of ours, so not interested. The house on my other side is a massive bungalow, with driveway and huge garden with rear access, so definitely would move there

Sasha07 · 18/04/2025 14:10

Mine is the best house/garden but I'd happily make the feral neighbours move three streets to the right.
