I just peaked at middle class wankerism

At a farm café... naturally. And daughter is on special diet, so she was eating her packed lunch. And she went to eat her apple ...I found my self saying "oh darling, let me wash your apple, it's got brioche crumbs all over it"

What a dick I am 🤣

We call it a maiden, it’s where we hang our delicates.

Sorry this is what I meant I laughed at

I have read this thread start to finish and I am very confused on my class position.

I have completed higher education and have a child at university, my job is definitely considered middle class, but I hate sourdough and avocado.

We only eat pink lady apples but I don’t drive a Volvo and I have never wiped crumbs off anything. My evening meal is dinner and I hope to be a grandma one day, not a Nan.

The only time I fed my youngest sushi he immediately vomited on the floor.

We eat organic free range eggs, but on the same metro roll as bacon.

OP you are making me question my entire existences

I support all Avacado hate. I don't get it. It's okay nothing more . It's like cavier your out Thursday someone's feeling flush and you get treated to the most distasteful mouth encounter It's like marmite. I didn't even hide it I was shocked. Why would you pay to eat jellied salt fish boaba.

BeCleverViewer · 06/04/2025 12:11

Omg im having flashbacks. It's like death by disgust.

On reflection I need to behave better in posh restaurants but you can't just give people marmite fish balls and expect composure.

In my day radio1 would have banned that title, a bit too FGTH.

Environmentally disastrous choice there. What's wrong with tap water?

I couldn't give a monkey's what class anyone believes they belong to. As this thread illustrates, it's a very tedious discussion.

Tap water where I live tastes like crap so I refuse to drink. That’s the long and short of it. I’m definitely not middle class, neither is DH.

JAGS is also a school for the working class confused and Scots amongst us. 😁

I overheard a woman at a toddler class recently who was outraged her 4 year old didn’t get into JAGS despite speaking 3 languages 😂

she was eating, the poshest of apples, the Pink Lady

No. I'm sorry. That would be a nutmeg pippin, plucked from one's own orchard.

Yeah TBF the tap water in our old flat was horrendous, you could see the chunks of limescale in your glass!

We had bottled water and some brutally savaged water filters 🤣

Oh, I know.

My late OH once broke a tooth eating dried broad beans from the late Queen's relative's shop, what would that have made him?

Pippyls67 · 06/04/2025 20:07

Best ones are the people who rage about getting mud or manure on their range rover tyres if they drive past our farm. Always makes us hoot with laughter.

I always have been confused by my Mumsnet class... I'm literally in the middle wealth wise neither rich nor poor. Love eating bougie food like steak, sourdough bread etc.

But apparently because I became a mum at 16 I'm not middle class? According to some on here it's lower class behaviour to reproduce before 25 and no other aspect of your life ever makes up for it?
