At a farm café... naturally. And daughter is on special diet, so she was eating her packed lunch. And she went to eat her apple ...I found my self saying "oh darling, let me wash your apple, it's got brioche crumbs all over it"

What a dick I am 🤣

I did something similar yesterday and I’ve not stopped cringing yet.
i was rolling (wheelchair) through town with my husband and son and we were chatting about a possible trip to London soon as my son is Minecraft mad and there’s a Minecraft experience opened.
husband wants to go to a specific shop that sells transformers (he’s a nerd and a collector) while we’re down there and I said, out loud, “oooh we have to make time to go to fortnums because I’ve run out of blackcurrant jam and the one from the farm shop (which was £8 a jar mind you) is nice but it’s just not the same” people heard! We live in a Yorkshire town that used to be populated by miners till they closed down the mines.

Crazybaby123 · 05/04/2025 21:42

Once I got a 1000 waitrose voucher from work as a an xmas bonus, it had a sell by date where I had to spend it in a month.

I supermarket swept Waitrose with my baby in a sling. I was chucking all the expensive cheeses in, the expensive chorizos, all the branded cleaning products, steaks just chucked in, two legs of lamb, no problem, top shelf wine, lets have them all, champagne, beef, venison, corn fed this and grass fed that... the lot ... and as I had the baby with me I couldnt be bothered to look at prices I was just chucking it in. The trolley was so packed things were falling out of it

I just remember the looks of sheer astonishment of other shoppers at my trolley haul and me being so casual at the till when the bill came to an astronomical amount, and people just looking at me like I was insane.

That is my middle class wankerism peak😂 not rich enough to have someone do my shopping for me so not upper class 😂it was a great christmas though

No one's ever seen Princess Anne and me in the same room, that's all I'll say 🙌 (we're both big emoji fans too)

QuirkInTheMatrix · 05/04/2025 21:43

I have a video on TikTok which makes me laugh. I was filming the Corpus Clock in Cambridge and wasn’t really listening to Dd rabbiting on beside me but in the video you can hear her talking about singing lessons and she says “and they said no vibrato and it has to be in Latin”. She speaks with a very RP accent as well which makes it even funnier. 🙈😁
