There’s nothing discerning or self-aware about snobbery. Snobs are, in fact, the least self-aware people in the world. They’re also not discerning - there’s nothing discerning about judging people’s worth on their appearance or perceived social class. It’s the opposite of discerning. It’s ignorant and shallow - which snobs can’t see, of course, because of the whole ‘not self-aware’ thing.

Giraffes are quiet and ideal for paddling pools in the smaller garden.

Cassowaries, not so much.

women who wear jeans/leggings/jogging pants without something to cover their bum (simply because I can see the outline of their bum, and that makes me uncomfortable. I am self conscious and always wear things over my bum)

But I am often guilty of going out with my hair unbrushed and in a loose ponytail. I’m not perfect far from it. I have very long hair and I just don’t have the energy to look kempt

Not sure it would make you 'care' anymore. Might be of interest to others nevertheless - in some cultures ear piercing is part of a ceremony which also includes FGM. Having the ears pierced before that ceremony means that the mother can't be forced/coerced into allowing her child to undergo fgm.

I'm in awe of cassowaries. They have blue necks, although some on here would find that trashy.
