Im sat up in bed watching the good wife. Playing prison tycoon on my iPad.. riveting stuff

Congratulations on the job, OP!

I'm in the eastern US, so it's not even 9 p.m. yet. I'm reading the latest Ian Rankin Rebus book with an old episode of Law and Order in the background. DH is another room watching basketball, and I'm keeping an ear out for the scores. It's March Madness, the annual tournament to determine who wins the national university championships in men's and women's basketball.

Just trying to fall asleep - maybe I should put the phone down!

eldest home from uni and out with mates so I won’t sleep properly till she’s home - daft I know, she’s sensible and an adult and usually lives 100 miles away but yeah!

What film?

Failure to Launch. Although I wasn't really concentrating on it with the old phone on the go!

Finished the good wife. Catching up on MAFS Aus now. DDog has decided to join me on the bed, for such a teeny dog he’s taking up a lot of room.

DH Just called from his ship

Oo.

It’s not daft! I just text the ex H to check in my DS 18 was home safe because an air ambulance went over. His best friend recently passed his driving test. I thought toddlers caused worry! Teens are a whole new level of worry!

Thanks for the heads up there
Mine are at Uni
I didn’t think Easter break was yet. They text to say they might come home at some point.
I just checked the dates ( because of your message ) and today was their last day.

Thats three of them preferring to live it up at Uni 🤣🤣. Oh well. It’ll keep the food bills down I suppose

Merchant

I had to Google to see if there was a difference between merchant and armed forces. I’m clearly clueless

Is he far away atm

burntoutnurse · 29/03/2025 01:25

@DrPrunesqualer in the North Sea somewhere.

he doesn’t get shot at or have a uniform sadly 😁 (the uniform part)

Oo. I agree. You could always buy him one for when he gets home….😉

@DrPrunesqualer I’m just hoping his new black socks have shedded all the loose fluff that comes off them, cos that drives me mad 😂

Truly, the absolute worst 😂

Awake with the smallest of our family again! She’s not yet even three weeks and the concepts of a. night and day and b. being put down as opposed to snuggling on my chest are still somewhat alien to her. Good job they’re so bloody cute eh.

Evening

Evening. I have just done the midnight meds then repositioned my little one and am now wide awake and contemplating whether to do his 6am feed at 6 or wait a while as his overnight feed will only have finished at 5am.

Will waiting a while mean a little bit of a lie in?

No, he has meds at 6am anyway but he's recently gone onto being fed by pump and has struggled a bit with it at times, this is the first clock change we have had since he's been pump fed.

mondaytosunday · 30/03/2025 00:47

It’s my birthday today and I’m watching some TV as I don’t normally go to bed til around 2am. I gave up alcohol for Lent with my birthday as one day exemption. So cracked open a bottle at midnight!

Does he have continuous? With a break?

does he have to have a certain amount over 24 hours? X
