Help! Is anyone else addicted to Vinted?! (Light-hearted)

Was carrying so much extra weight for so many years and had lost interest in clothes which I had loved in the past. Now thanks to WLI I am enjoying clothes again... But am enjoying them too much! Have rediscovered lovely clothes in my wardrobe and have recently discovered Vinted. Started off well, selling larger clothes...and then I started buying. And buying. And buying!!!

So many bargains, paying a fraction of the cost of buying from the shop. I cannot stop!!!

Anyone else?!!

Was very addicted! Also due to losing weight and gaining confidence. I've only bought one thing since Xmas..transfer the balance out immediately and spend in charity shops instead. Find it cheaper, can see it, combine with a trip out of the house and way less trips to the Inpost locker!

I was finding things a bit hit and miss

Totally agree with how dangerous 'recommended for you' is !

i search by brand a lot - brands that I know sell 100% cotton, wool etc. And most sellers tend to include a photo of the label. But if not yes I do take the time to ask for it, to be sure! Quite a few are described as silk but actually just “silky” polyester. I like the hunt though. Had some lovely second hand cashmere and a gorgeous 100% wool jacket. Lots of silk t shirts too (try searching for Reiss)

Ooh good thinking re brands! I’m off on a new treasure hunt now!!

Yep. Picked up 3 parcels today, all from different places so it even helped me get my steps in 😂 I definitely have a problem. I now own about 30 jumpers.

Another addict here! I've lost over 7 stone since last May and have gone from a size 22 to a size 12. I'm obsessed with Vinted - I have saved searches set up for high-quality brands that I wouldn't be able to afford new. I do find it a bit hit and miss though - I've had a few things that were either not as described, or which didn't fit me or suit me despite me checking measurements first.

I've actually started posting photos of my outfits on Instagram, God help me...

As a seller Vinted isn't as good as eBay, I sold 61 items on eBay last ,month and 2 on VINTED. They are the same price on both sites, eBay has a lot more ,buyers. For stock any stuff for me and my family I use Whatnot, anything I don't keep I sell for double pretty much.

OurSis · 20/03/2025 20:13

I sell loads but never see anything I want to buy.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use Vinted. It seems ridiculously complicated to me. It’s probably good that I haven’t been able to use it… I’m not spending anything!

Another total addict here. Just had a parcel delivered today and waiting on two more!
Originally it was handy coz I'd lost weight and gone from a 22/24 to an 8/10 in 2 years so I could replace my wardrobe with decent things cheaply.
Now I just enjoy the thrill of finding things I love on clothing websites then hunting for them on Vinted.
I've gotten a few duds but mostly had good experiences.

I find the app very straight forward. Selling stuff is so easy. What can you not figure out?

I’ve just bought another Towelling robe as I use them instead of towels
Hot wash then ready for use
I’ve paused buying my tops as my wardrobe is full
