I’m here OP! Hope you’ve managed to get some sleep by now. Sorry to hear about your health worries. hopefully you have some time off to look forward to soon and it’s not back to work later today?

Seawolves · 20/03/2025 01:30

Yup, did my little one's midnight meds then his bloody feed pump decided it was going to start giving out error messages again so I spent half an hour throwing sorting out the poxy thing. I hate the bloody thing, it is so temperamental and plays up at least three nights a week. He gets half of his calories delivered overnight and we are struggling with his weight so I can't afford for him to keep losing calories so now I am on edge listening out for it (it beeps when it has a 'fault'). This is our third pump and they have all been as bad as each other.

Maitri108 · 20/03/2025 01:32

Sorry you can't sleep. I was up until this morning vomiting, so my sleep is currently messed up as I snoozed during the day.

I’m still around and awake. I do have some annual leave now thankfully. And a job interview next week.

@Seawolves is it a freego?

Please, don't spend hours awake fretting. There are so many different types of medications to try. This doesn't have to be your life

Seawolves · 20/03/2025 01:44

@burntoutnurse No, Flocare Infinity 3

Good luck with the interview. I remember doing nights, I used to struggle with daytime sleep too and with the quick turnaround between nights and long days, it sucks.

Jannie62 · 20/03/2025 01:57

I haven’t slept properly since last Saturday, when I went down with a horrible chesty cold. Every night since then I have been coughing for hours. I’ve also lost my voice. Since Tuesday, I can only croak or whisper and try not to do that very much, as it starts off the horrible tickly/chesty cough again. I’m exhausted and feeling sorry for myself now Sad

GreenCandleWax · 20/03/2025 02:02

Yep, I am still here. My sleep has been terrible lately - sometimes only two or three hours a night, and it messes with your body clock, so feel unwell in the mornings. Tired as anything, but wired and cannot switch off mentally. Is this you too OP?

Thanks, I am. Got some stomach pain but much better.

businessflop25 · 20/03/2025 02:18

I’m awake too. Exhausted but too stressed to sleep.

teap0t13 · 20/03/2025 02:23

I’m awake! My 7 week old was sleeping in his next2me but woke up crying and didn’t want anything other than to be asleep on my chest. So he’s sleeping peacefully on me & im scrolling Mumsnet 🤣

PleaseAndThankYou12 · 20/03/2025 02:26

I’m awake too. Have been taking magnesium glycinate for a few weeks and found it really helped my sleep. But I was poorly at the weekend, had an accidental nap and it has messed my sleep schedule up ever since! I slept for an hour and a half earlier, but I’ve seen every minute on the clock since midnight so I’ve given up and lifted my phone!

AnyoneWhoHasAHeart · 20/03/2025 02:35

Me.

I’m an insomniac anyway but I’m currently in hospital and last night was awake with a temperature and flu like symptoms so they insisted on various blood tests etc at 2 in the morning.

Consequently I spent most of the day catching up and now it’s a vicious circle as I’m wide awake again.

I don’t know what I’m dealing with yet. I have a lump. On the 2 week pathway currently (a week in) not had any appt through yet. I’ve googled, I know. I’m a medical professional and should know better. The lump is growing daily and now causing pain. I was putting the pain down to menopause aches and pains.

burntoutnurse · 20/03/2025 02:45

Been taking magnesium. Doesn’t seem to be helping anymore. It did initially.

work is really stressful atm, it’s a stressful environment anyway (icu) but things have happened. And although I love my job I think it’s time for a change so I have an interview on a general paeds ward closer to home.

Back to GP in the morning for anxiety meds I think. And maybe a few days of something to help me sleep and get myself back into a routine :)

Also awake! Am on an antenatal ward after being induced at 9pm last night. In a room with 2 snorers and the bed is so soft and uncomfortable. There aren't enough cushions in the world to make me comfortable. Have struggled my whole pregnancy with sleep anyway, but feel I should keep trying to sleep as I may give birth in the coming hours!

How exciting! Fingers crossed baby doesn’t take too long to make an appearance. Any signs?

It's horrible isn't it, noro recently here!

I haven't long woken up so I guess I got a few hours. Enough not to be shattered today.

Had a fun teatime with friend we talked daft nonsense then I went home.

HangingOver · 20/03/2025 03:50

I'm awake. My pup is sick so I'm sleeping on the sofa with him and have just been scooping his poop into a sample tube for the vets in the garden in my PJs. Boak.

SideshowBobster · 20/03/2025 03:53

Hope everyone gets some rest soon.

@teap0t13 also up with the baby here- I'm up with my 6 week old. She's fed, just drifting back off in my arms then I will (attempt) to get her back down.

She's been poorly since birth and has an appointment with a surgeon tomorrow so I'll be awake now worried over that.

Have been cramping on and off since the balloon went in. But nothing major. A little gutted it didn't get started earlier in the day so I could walk around more, as that's supposed to really help with inductions. But just focussing on resting now and will get up with the sun and get stomping around!!

Think I’ve given up now tbh. Need to get DS up for school at 7. I fear if I do drop off to sleep now I’ll feel even more dreadful when that alarm goes off 😩
