What’s for dinner?

I’m having rarebit, fending for myself and ds tonight, he’s having sausages and mash with veg but I’ve been poorly and haven’t eaten much for a while as I’ve had a very sore/swollen throat. Dh is out and he usually makes an amazing rarebit for me when I’ve been poorly so I’ve had to make it myself tonight. Sauce is cooling now.
What are you having?

We just had meatballs in onion gravy with savoy cabbage and parmesan mash. Went down a storm.

Spag bol.

Oriental chicken thighs OH has marinated and fried rice once three grandchildren have been collected.

Chicken curry, it’s ready to eat now but I will wait to put the rice on until my DH gets home. It smells lovely.

I had homemade veg soup for lunch and cba to cook more veg

Halloumi plus baked feta with oregano and tomatoes (I know, two salty cheeses but couldn’t decide), chips, salad and veg, hummus with flatbreads.

Chicken salad sandwich on homemade bread (made at weekend and out of freezer), pickled onions, cubes of cheese, salt and vinegar crisps, a chopped up apple and an orange. Had a loooong week and can't be arsed cooking

I made a creamy chorizo pasta which always goes down well.

We had sausage and Mash it was nice I burnt the onions though so they were binned.

Cashew nuts and Sauvignon Blanc.

My version of cassoulet - diced pork, chorizo, tomatoes, onions, garlic, cannellini beans. And some brown rice.

Tempeh stir fry. First time cooking with tempeh so hopefully it'll taste ok - it's marinading in the fridge.

Tempeh is lush!!

nooooo @Coffeeishot - I think I’d have cried! I eat bangers and mash but only really for the onion gravy cos I don’t really like sausages!!

@PigglyWigglyOhYeah that sounds like a remarkably simple dinner, no washing up!! Hurrah 😂

Crispy chicken thighs with sticky rice, edamame beans and hoisin sauce.

It's a great easy tea - chicken in air fryer, microwave sticky rice and frozen edamame beans

On wegovy so a bit of bread, handful of raisins and a gin. Kids had pizza.

Vegetarian Kiev , chips & salad .

Chef's orf tonight. Some family drama or such.
So Cammi is 'doing 'dinner' (as she puts it) anyway, 'tis running a bit late now, but based on one's last experience, it will be scorched, dried beans on blackened toast.

One can't wait...I notice that Bluebell is all aquiver too...(the Vet is on ICE, of course.)

We've had bbq marinated chicken skewers with roasted peppers, mushrooms and couscous.

A cheese, bean and fried egg toastie with a bag of quavers and some strawberries 🍓
