As title said a rare trip to M&S food for me this afternoon as I don’t often pass one…

We have a nice evening without teenagers this weekend and would love to grab a few treats to enjoy for meals and snacks to enjoy.

Already know that I want some of their lovely butter with smoked salt and a good sour dough, what else would you recommend?

Those millionaire chocolate bites in a tub are something special, as are the cookie dough bites.
Oh and the millionaire/caramel crispy bites.

Oh, and their full fat greek yoghurt is to die for. So thick and creamy.

Mexican layered dip. I love it so much

Me too, with unflavoured tortilla chips

Lemon curd hot cross buns.
Pistachio cream (sold out everywhere I've tried at the moment!)
Mexican layered dip.
Big pretzel from the bakery.
Big tub of 10% greek yog.
Butter chicken

it's much better than the other supermarkets tbh. obviously not as good as local bakeries etc.

Yes. But M&S threads always made on a Friday before many people go shopping, asking about treats, snacks and ready made food.. 😂🤔

The 3 for £8 deli stuff is lush, we love the honey and mustard mini sausages.

Chocolate custard creams, and cheese. Not together though.

CharlotteFlax · 07/03/2025 16:58

Marmite pinwheels and honey and mustard mini sausages. YUM!

Belgian chocolate covered cashews for pudd.

otherwise referred to as mexican trifle in this house

Walter the sausage dog mini rolls!

ssd · 07/03/2025 17:05

Cheese coleslaw please

Supporthelittleguys · 07/03/2025 17:11

I thought this when I went to M&S recently, ended up buying not much because the price was just eye watering! 2 chocolate eclairs (the posh ones) were like £5.50! I do really like the mushroom pappardelle ready meal & the beef and onion crisps. Mexican dip also good with nachos.

We call it the vomit dip. 😬 Because it looks like sick, but tastes nice!

Littlebitpsycho · 07/03/2025 17:14

They do some beautiful ham and cheese bites with a smoky bbq sauce dip - found with the cocktail sausages and stuff. They are incredible 😲

TheIceBear · 07/03/2025 17:15

The big daddy chocolate bar is insanely good. I could only eat a couple of bites at a time.. think there is a million calories in one bar !

Sugarcube84 · 07/03/2025 17:15

chocolate covered pistachios

chicken kievs and I love the creamed cabbage

Meal ideas?
I wouldn't recommend their mac and cheese- the refrigerated ready meal type. Someone raved about it to me, but I found it extremely bland and it had about 3/4 you daily intake of fat in it!

Do we know each other??

I love the Mac Cheese in the 'Best Ever' range - the one with the garlic crumb on top. Is that the one you tried? I have raved about it, I must admit.

They do bags of mini walnut whips! They’re yummy

That is what popped into my head!

SiobhanSharpe · 07/03/2025 17:17

Thickly coated chocolate orange biscuits. Sadly not many to a packet, though.

ParsnipPuree · 07/03/2025 17:19

Have to say their chocolate covered biscuits are to die for. I often shop there or online through Ocado.. good for out of season/exotic fruit.

Turmerictolly · 07/03/2025 17:21

I like the make in the oven salmon with soy and ginger dressing and have it with the miniature potatoes and roasted veg (I make these myself but M NS do them too). Followed by a small luxury trifle and half a bottle of the Coteaux Varois French Rose.

TheMorels · 07/03/2025 17:25

They don’t seem to stock them often, but their mushroom arancini are amazing.

Also, rarely in stock, the pornstar martini mix (not the cheap one, I think it was from their mixologist range) is amazing. I used to buy a gift bag with this, a bottle of Prosecco and a passion fruit as a gift for girlfriends.

maximalistmaximus · 07/03/2025 17:25

The blonde chocolate covered nuts.

Red pepper pitta chips to eat with Cornish vintage cheese.

Milk chocolate rounds to dunk in tea.

Iced finger buns

Apple & cinnamon hot cross buns

Swiss chocolate truffles

LaPalmaLlama · 07/03/2025 17:26

the cheese sourdough. It’s sublime.

TheIceBear · 07/03/2025 17:28

i tried the gastropub chicken forestiere ready meal recently and it was very tasty. I also love the Angus Aberdeen burgers .. rarely eat burgers at home but when I do i always go for those ones.

Endofyear · 07/03/2025 17:30

Hot beef curry (tinned)
Salted caramel whips
Hot smoked salmon and dill dip
Thai fishcakes
