As title said a rare trip to M&S food for me this afternoon as I don’t often pass one…

We have a nice evening without teenagers this weekend and would love to grab a few treats to enjoy for meals and snacks to enjoy.

Already know that I want some of their lovely butter with smoked salt and a good sour dough, what else would you recommend?

The olive & anti pasti sharing platter!

Yum 😋 🫒

mbosnz · 07/03/2025 14:22

Their Best Ever Paella is gorgeous! Oh, and the Beef Daube with the Finest Mash, and medley of greens.

TurquoiseDress · 07/03/2025 14:23

They do a very good dine in gastro meal deal

The lasagne is generally fabulous!

Also get starter, side & dessert

Think around ?£12

Bigfatarse · 07/03/2025 14:23

Those insanely chocolate chocolate biscuits that are mainly chocolate with a tiny sliver of biscuit in the middle (any flavour), the pasta bows with pesto and pine nuts, the freshly squeezed lemonade, those little rolls of ham with manchego in the middle, ALL the cheeses, nice olive oil and some olive crisp flatbreads. Oh and some of those microwave chocolate puddings with some vanilla ice cream. And wine. And all the crisps.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 07/03/2025 14:25

The tubs of sweet treats

the Mint cornflake ones and hazelnut and choc ones are nice

Big daddy choc bar

chocolate brazils

the roasted and salted mixed nuts

Pikola · 07/03/2025 14:26

Their lasagne is gorgeous, chicken ceasar salad dip, King Prawns with Marie Rose Sauce. They do a spectacular pork belly, with a salt and pepper crust. The big daddy chocolate bar is lovely if you like peanut butter.

Their chicken tikka massala best ever is good.

Making me hungry.

raspberry royal yum nut doughnut

crispy lemon chicken

cornish cove cheese

Meal ideas?
I wouldn't recommend their mac and cheese- the refrigerated ready meal type. Someone raved about it to me, but I found it extremely bland and it had about 3/4 you daily intake of fat in it!

BloodandGlitter · 07/03/2025 14:29

The curry deal with the best ever chicken tikka masala.
Fully loaded schwarma.
The garlic bread in the tiny freezer they make with left over loaves of bread.
The chicken deal that's on right now is pretty good too. Their SFC fillets in the chilled section make amazing KFC style burgers.

FrenchandSaunders · 07/03/2025 14:30

They do an amazing Indian ‘shepherds pie’ topped with onion bhaji 😋😋

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 07/03/2025 14:31

Cocoa dusted almonds obsessed with them!

KittyEmK · 07/03/2025 14:32

Cheese hot cross buns, honey roast ham crisps

NancyBellaDonna · 07/03/2025 14:34

M&S rhubarb ice cream is the best
With rhubarb crumble (in the chiller section)

noblegiraffe · 07/03/2025 14:35

Their Chinese food is really good, way better than our local takeaway. The Chinese Favourites box is great, and the hoisin duck noodles and the salt and pepper chicken.

For snack food - those little boxes of popcorn chicken.

MariaDingbat · 07/03/2025 14:37

Mac and cheese bites, perfect with a sourdough pizza. Chicken laska soup base with the stir fry deal. Stuffed vine leaves and bolognaise aranchini. Full fat greek yoghurt with vanilla.

TY78910 · 07/03/2025 14:37

They do a cracking feta and pepper dip. Yum

Painfullife · 07/03/2025 14:38

Those scallops in a shell topped with mashed potato …. They are divine. They also do the best onion rings & the best ever tikka masala is also pretty good.

in the cupboard aisle I can highly recommend the gymkhana Indian sauces …. The my are expensive but you can taste the quality. The rojan Josh sauce is a bit more spicy than your normal but we love the butter masala sauce here … teenager too

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 07/03/2025 14:40

Their Rollitos and Dinky Picnic Bites, their Chunky Steak in a tin, Bacon and Cheese Turnover in the freezer section

AllyHayHay · 07/03/2025 14:41

I honestly think these types of threads are generated by the company!

Ophy83 · 07/03/2025 14:44

If you like olives, their Spanish pinchos are fab (large olives on cocktail sticks filled with serrano ham)

Poppadom crisps

For a main I love their fancy chicken kievs, the gastropub style ones

And for dessert: the profiterole stack

Theteenagerera · 07/03/2025 14:44

This has made me laugh…

Nope, just frazzled parents of 3 teen girls who are away this weekend and are looking forward to a few days of posh convenience foods, good wine and some uninterrupted conversation!

There standard red teabags are the best! Not a treat but way better than Yorkshire 🫢 they have a much more rounded flavour and are only £1.50! And of course granola squares to go with them.

GoodOldTrayBake · 07/03/2025 14:50

Beaverbridge · 07/03/2025 13:57

Chocolate custard creams please!

Omg you mean the ones covered in thick chocolate??? They are so unbelievably good they should be illegal!

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 07/03/2025 14:51

Their butter chicken is really nice. And they do a black dal. We get out 'indian' take away from M&S as it's cheaper and nicer than the local...

elliejjtiny · 07/03/2025 14:54

M and A do their own version of the Cadbury marvellous creations chocolate with the jelly sweets and popping candy. My son is in hospital a lot and I treat myself to a bar of that when he is in.
