It would look really cool.
Colours within the paintings match colours of the walls.

I don't like it but I also don't like your wall colours.
If you like it, go for it!

Colours - I really like the colours in the painting and I think they would go with your walls.

Style - I prefer abstracts that are more structured than that, but it's not terrible.

I like cubist style abstracts with a precise geometric form/pattern and no drips/splatters.

Just my personal taste, not suggesting there is anything wrong with less structured abstracts!

I would put it on the orange wall to break it up a bit

No reason why you shouldn't go for it if that's your taste OP.

Paint the orange wall a very pale grey and put it on that one.

I'm not sure about the design, but the colours are great.

I'm not sure the pink in the picture will go well with the orange of the adjoining wall.

I'm sorry...that sounded snotty. Its a saying in our house!! Dates back to the times when you could buy pictures...usually ones featuring sad Collie dogs etc

Nomdejeur · 04/03/2025 18:55

It’s too much colour for me. The orange and blue, and then all the colours of the pictures. I can’t think of anything else to suggest though, interior designer I am not.

Hey OP

I’m an interior designer. Your taste isn’t my taste but I would recommend actually going for dark artwork to balance out the very bright walls. You have a dark sofa and I think dark artwork would pull the room together a lot better than adding more bright colours.

I understand your logic in saying you think you need white in the art to break it up but I disagree. Your paint choices don’t make your room look dark and it looks like you have a lot of lovely light coming in through the sliding glass doors. Artwork with white in it would be fine, I just wouldn’t worry about it having to have white in it.

It's an amazingly non-greige combination 😁
