I think this maybe one of my last messages... So I wish you all a two every day, or a three at least!
Mumsnet has, this evening, starting sending me blocking pop ups about how I need to disable the ad blocker on my browser. Then blocking me from reading more.
I am a disabled OAP with limited income. I use an internet connection that is controlled and paid for by someone else who has put the ad block on at router level.
Consequently, I am unable to 'whitelist' Mumsnet. I can't afford the monthly payment either what with the way my pension is being eroded in real terms every day as the CoL increases.
I have emailed support but no real response yet. I firmly believe this new move is discrimination WRT ageism, disability and poverty at its best...

When reading the MNHQ update earlier I did wonder what this might mean for our little band of puzzlers.

Did you see in that post that they said

"The last thing we want is to cause loyal users financial distress, so if you have particular reasons why both seeing ads and paying for Premium is problematic for you, then please do get in touch with us at [email protected] and we’d be happy to look at what we can do to help."

It may be worth contacting them. Regardless, I do hope we "see" you again soon.

A quick post as it seems I am able to! I have been in contact with the powers that be but it seems I'm still persona non-grata unless I pay the subs or buy a mobile phone which I then connect up to t'internet somehow (presumably at a cost!). Discrimination is the name of the day! Pointing the finger at YOU @mumsnet

So not very helpful at all then ☹
