For those employed, how often do you take a sick day from work? And do you still sometimes work when ill?

Im ill all the time so tend to just work at home when I have a cold which is often. I’ve got a stomach bug today but feel like I still need to work as I took a sick day about a month ago 🤢

I think I’m ill more than the average person to be fair. Don’t know why, just seem to pick up everything 🤷‍♀️

Not in the last 10 years at least. I'm childfree and work from home, so rarely catch germs.

(Edited to change 'never' to rarely so as not to jinx myself 😄)

I take a sick day when I'm sick.

There aren't any prizes for going in when you're unwell.

True but a lot of the conversation is about how often people get sick, not about whether you work when sick. Some of us are lucky to hardly ever get sick, others seem to be much more unlucky and liable to catch things quite often.

I think mine is usually 3 a year but currently have a health issue that means it's more like 8
Campylobacter, tonsillitis, tooth abscess were my last ones
