My beautiful old lab just died.

I know I sound pathetic but I'm so heartbroken, we all are. Our gorgeous old chocolate lab just died tonight. He was just the best boy. He just went to sleep in front of the fire and slept away, which I suppose is a comfort, but now I have to ring DD at uni and tell her. DS is 21 and absolutely distraught, our boy was his 7th birthday present. 💔💔💔💔

Not daft to be devastated. We owe them that much. And so much better that you lose him than he lose you. You were there for him all his life. You were his pack.

Sorry for your loss, I'm just looking at my choco now sleeping peacefully after his walk. He is our fifth dog and each passing is always devastating. I think it's the memories associated with them and reminder of our own mortality xx much love op it was a nice way for him to go 🐾💐
