How much a month do you spend on alcohol/cigs/vaping

I was just reading another thread of someone asking how much per month people spend on take aways.
I am ashamed to say I spend a fair amount per month on them. I really want to cut back, but justify it to myself by saying I don’t drink/ smoke/ or even go out very often, so don’t buy new clothes/ don’t get my nails done. The only thing I have to keep me going is a take away a couple of times a week, which is my “wind down” time. Maybe I’m still out spending what people do on the things I’ve mentioned though and it’s sort of a scape goat analogy, to justify my take away spending. So would be interesting to see how much people do spend on the above.

Don't drink
Quit my 30 a day smoking habit 8 years ago

I vape (got to have 1 bad habit!) which is about £16 on coils and maybe £20 on liquid a month? I buy in bulk so not too sure as I never run out
So £36 ish, probably less

£500. I absolutely cannot afford it. I do without almost all 'extras' because I'm a pathetic addict. It has a massive impact on my quality of life and my health.

Now you can all feel better about your takeaways!

I don't smoke, drink or get a lot of takeaway its something we get a few times a year at most. I do spend money on other things like good quality tea, matcha and hot chocolate. I also like good quality chocolate which I'll eat one a day of with some nice tea, expensive skincare and books. I can afford these things but if I was spending lavishly on unhealthy indulgences I wouldn't be able to.

I would weight the takeaway or alcohol against something nicer you'd really enjoy and then save the money you'd spend on that and spend it on the luxury you'd really enjoy and that would benefit you longer term.

About £20 a week on wine.

Stopped smoking three years ago and was smoking 20 x Marlboro Gold a day, which are now about £19 a pack! I’m so proud of myself for quitting after 20 years of smoking. I vape now which costs me £21 a month for liquid, and usually a new “device” once every three months or so.

Takeaways we usually get a pizza delivery one weekend each month, but will often get a supermarket “dine-in” thing or a Chinese “takeaway” box from M&S on the others.

(We eat well with home cooked meals the rest of the time.)

Two adults and no kids, both earning decent salaries.
