I've never gone line-by-line before in my bank statement before

Just thought you'd all want a nosey 👀

Food: £337.15 (mid week top-ups)

Coffees/cafes: £181.30

Lunches and dinners out: £242.43

DC: £4,550 (this includes school fees broken down to a monthly number, lunches, weekends with DC like Harry Potter world as an example, kids activities like gymnastics etc, paid for by term but broken down to the month)

Beauty: £1301.20 (waxing, Botox, hair colour, etc)

Shopping: £216.39 (new ballet slippers for DC etc)

Misc. £545.27 (things I had no idea what they were on the line item)

Private dental work: £981.63

DH pays rent, bills, running the cars/petrol, insurances, date nights, nights out, holidays, savings, weekly "big shop" and everything else.

What's your job OP?

Russian trophy wife. Or Melania.

that’s it! MELANIA IS THAT YOU, DO YOU NEED RESCUING

The comments on the renting... the UK is not our home. We are not citizens here and are planning at some point to move abroad again.

This is where you’ve gone embarrassingly wrong. English people aren’t impressed by overspending on stupid shit like Botox. I’m guessing you’re currently living in Dubai or similar ?

Hamletscigar · 13/02/2025 09:22

Such a weird post, op

I'd rather watch paint dry...

cant you cook?
what do you want from this

Aposterhasnoname · 13/02/2025 09:23

The op does not clarify what she earns

only she she rents and doesn’t seem to save a bean

The op has very clearly stated that what she listed is her salary for January. It’s literally the title of the post

Reallyneedsaholiday · 13/02/2025 09:23

Not much “stealth” involved in this boasting post, is there? 🤔

MeanderingGently · 13/02/2025 09:24

But are you happy and content?

I'm a pensioner. I also rent. I have slightly enhanced state pension which works out to £1060 per month, for everything. I live on less than you spend on beauty!
I'm not in the slightest bit envious as I consider myself to have a lovely life that suits me....but can't imagine being so unhappy with my appearance that I need to spend that much just on beauty enhancing alone!!

Vintique · 13/02/2025 09:24

Interesting to see how other people live. Are your beauty costs similar each month or was last month particularly high? (I am thinking of Botox but don’t want to get into committing to spending loads regularly!) Also - am curious, your job sounds well paid but do you manage still to work around school hours? You don’t have any childcare costs other than school fees?

Aposterhasnoname · 13/02/2025 09:24

user263758918 · 13/02/2025 09:18

Yes, I'm not saving. Doesn't mean DH isn't.

Then you are an idiot. Separate finances but only he saves.

Linens · 13/02/2025 09:25

LOL at everyone who pretends to find it boring!
If threads are that boring and dull I just click off them not scroll through four pages to say they are boring.
Watching high earners spend money is a staple of every form of entertainment since entertainment began. People love it.

BumpandBounce · 13/02/2025 09:26

ByPearlSnail · 13/02/2025 09:20

I’m guessing you don’t have any money left for self awareness in that budget

This.

Did you post simply to show off, OP? It’s not a good look.

Plenty of us are high earners. What exactly is your point?

Carezzamia · 13/02/2025 09:26

I'm wondering if this is an AI bot learning human reactions when posting inflammatory content. Or, like the pp said, is that you Melania, shall we come rescue you?

£181 on coffees?!

Don't tell any companies seeking to sign you up for monthly subscriptions; or charities trying to guilt you into a generous monthly donation.

The 'takeaway coffee' is their yardstick by how they justify any amount that they think you wouldn't even miss. They'll all be clamouring for you to hand over "Just £175 a month: that's actually less than you spend on coffee each month!"

Fouradayistoomuch · 13/02/2025 09:26

Huckyfell · 13/02/2025 09:09

£4550 on kids, you shouldn't bring them into the world if you can't afford to look after them properly. You need to look at your priorities and if struggling to make ends meet, don't neglect the kids.

Exactly, call SS immediately 🤣

Yes if it's real, I am interested😊

Normallynumb · 13/02/2025 09:26

You've spent over £500 on lunches and coffees and another £500+ on fripperies you can't account for, but you rent a property?
Different priorities, I guess
Do you think money can buy happiness? I don't.

lnks · 13/02/2025 09:27

BS

HoraceCope · 13/02/2025 09:27

but are you happy @user263758918

strange choice of user name imo

MumonabikeE5 · 13/02/2025 09:27

£1.3k on beauty treatments

gosh, I can only presume you look pretty awful without it.
surely you don’t need that level of treatment to look presentable?

lechatnoir · 13/02/2025 09:28

WifeImprovementWorksInProgress · 13/02/2025 09:20

Any chance of a photo of your face? I'm curious what that kind of money spent on beauty would get me...? 😄

😂ditto!

JoyousPinkPeer · 13/02/2025 09:28

You are going to end up with no assets or money when you get to pension age if you carry on mis-managing your spending.

Ghosttofu99 · 13/02/2025 09:28

FanofLeaves · 13/02/2025 08:58

Sorry what’s this for exactly? You have spent more than £500 on misc crap you have no idea about, it’s hardly going to resonate with the vast majority at the moment is it.

Yes, tone deaf thread of the day award 🥇

Lentilweaver · 13/02/2025 09:28

The OP is not a UK citizen and here ti work only. That's why she is renting. Foreigners are not obsessed with owning.

Wow, does this mean that Katie Hopkins has actually been nothing more than a prototype AI bot for all of these years?!
