Air Fryer Beeps

HopecoveGirl · 12/02/2025 14:38

Hi lovely people.

You've been so helpful before, so I'm hoping you can assist me again.

I have a chronic illness, and the beeping sounds from my air fryer have become unbearable.

Does anyone know of an air fryer that doesn’t beep or has an option to turn the sounds off?

I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!

What make/model do you have?

Try the menu / settings button to turn it off.

JellyBabyToManual · 12/02/2025 23:05

Mine does a ding. Singular. No beeps.

AllHisCaterpillarFriends · 12/02/2025 23:09

I have a Ninja Speedi and it drives me to distraction. Beeps for everything, triple beeps when you turn it on, open the lid anything. And you can't turn it off and it is loud

So stay clear of that, and possibly other Ninjas. Sorry about your illness, really crap to be chronic.

Good for you, how does that help exactly?

eyespartyparty · 12/02/2025 23:15

My Ninja 2 drawer also beeps a lot, I have noticed and been annoyed by it so I can imagine how annoying it is if you're particularly sensitive to noise. Not sure if other brands are any better...?

Wow, snarky much? It makes one noise which isn’t a beep and might be helpful to the OP.

biggreenapple24 · 12/02/2025 23:29

@JellyBabyToManual you haven't said which one you have, that's why it's not helpful

And now I’m not going to. I’m not hunting for a link online to post for your entertainment if a ding isn’t suitable for the OP.

That's really quite childish to not help the OP because your disgruntled with another poster.

PickAChew · 12/02/2025 23:33

My Instant plays a jaunty tune. We call it the chip fanfare.

It’s two posters who have chosen to nitpick what I said. If the OP is interested, I’m sure she’ll say so at some point. If she wants an entirely silent air fryer, she won’t.

biggreenapple24 · 12/02/2025 23:40

@JellyBabyToManual it makes no odds to me, I don't need another airfryer regardless of whether it dings or beeps or makes a sound like an elephant.

It seemed like you wanted to help the OP, so I was pointing out what would make your post most helpful.

But turns out you are professionally offended.

Not at all. Just offering an option to the OP, should she want it. Nobody else really needed to get involved there, did they 🤷‍♀️

Unprecedentedusername · 12/02/2025 23:53

I have to Unplug at mains when done? I agree that all appliances beep incessantly and it’s tedious.

scoobysnaxx · 12/02/2025 23:54

@JellyBabyToManual what the fuck lol? Are you 5?

Agreed.

No idea why you're being snarked at here.

Weird.

I think you have to get up and turn it off. I sure it’s a safety issue but I don’t know for sure.

Devianinc · 12/02/2025 23:59

Microwaves do the same thing.

Sorry to have been the reason the thread got derailed there OP.

HopecoveGirl · 13/02/2025 07:51

Thank you for all your replies. Sorry to be late replying, too busy being poorly 🙁

I would be interested knowing the make and model of the one that just dings.

HopecoveGirl · 13/02/2025 07:56

I do have a Ninja Speedi and like AllHisCaterpillarFriends said, it makes a lot of beeps for any reason at all. I just can’t stand it. It is driving me to distraction.

you are right Devianinc apparently it is a safety issue.

I have heard that there are quieter ones and ones that you can turn off the beeps but I don’t know which ones they are

I’ve tried but it seems that the Ninja Speedi won’t do that

That sounds promising. Much better than the very loud beeps

JingsMahBucket · 13/02/2025 08:22

@HopecoveGirl is it beeping even when not in use? If so, no wonder you’re sick of it. Our model is a Tefal, this one:

Yes the Ninjas are noisy! Used to it now but it upset me at first as I hate excess noise.

I also have a Samsung singing washing machine!
