Israel broke the terms of the ceasefire, and Trump started threatening ethnic cleansing. What did everyone think was going to happen?? How about Israel stop shooting Palestinians, Trump shuts the fuck up, and the rest of the international community gets the peace process back on track?

The poor families of those hostages must be furious with Trump and Netanyahu risking their loved ones lives.

Of course they will if they choose to and rightly so. Do you not think Israel should be able to attack Hamas who's sole reason for existence is to attack Israel? Do you honestly think there are any circumstances that would prompt Hamas to work towards a long lasting peace? Because that goes directly against anything Hamas have ever said.

The hostages should be released immediately and so should the Palestine prisoners, held without charge.

No, absolutely not. I want to see them all released. But I recognise that the hostages are the only shield the Palestinians have left. Hamas are revolting but the palastinian people are innocent. They are facing annihilation or displacement.

No that was in response to a poster who seemed to think if the hostages were released everyone would then live happily ever after.

Of course they should be released, they shouldn't have been taken in the first place. My point is that there is a high chance Israel will bomb what little of Gaza is left into oblivion after they are released anyway so from a tactical point of view I can understand why Hamas aren't releasing them.

But Trump is literally threatening to do the same if they don't release them so why not JUST GO AHEAD AND RELEASE THEM!?

Release the hostages. Negotiate. Oppose the displacement. Why not just do that?

These two are like the murderous versions of Dumb and Dumber. They don't care about the Palestinian people, or the hostages. Trump wants his real estate project and his golf course, and Netanyahu is an evil bugger with no moral compass whatsoever. They've tag-teamed the situation hoping to angle things in their advantage.

No, they’ve explained reasons why the hostages won’t be released. Absolutely no one has expressed an opinion that they shouldn’t be released. There’s a substantial difference.
