Do you know why Jessie might need a wheelchair and personal care? My thoughts (although might be completely wrong) is this is another way to control those around her.

I don't know unfortunately. When we were in primary school she was fully mobile. I'm not sure when she started needing a wheelchair or support like that. I assume that her usage of one happened sometime after I knew her. It sounds like she hasn't changed since school and uses her disorder as an excuse to get away with stuff. I assume she would use her physical disabilities too. Her mum would always excuse her behaviour and it seems that enabling has turned her into this person. Her mum's enabling predates her arrival at the school we both attended as she was 9 when she started. This is an issue that has clearly been going on since early childhood. It's fascinating how these things shape our early development.

Yes, it's all very sad. It's like she hasn't been able to evolve past toddler demands.
