Plenvu help colonoscopy

I am having a colonoscopy next week and have been prescribed plenvu. I am so nervous about it!

I am having a morning procedure, they’ve said to take the first sachet at 6pm and the 2nd at 9pm.

my worries are:

how the heck am I going to drink a litre of fluid in one hour (500ml over half an hour of plenvu then 500ml of water after)

the nurse said if you can have more then please do - aim for 2 litres! I’ll be sloshing!

I then obviously have to do it all again a couple of hours later. I’m so worried about being nauseous and puking it all back up.

when does the pooping stop? If I don’t even finish all the liquid until 10pm, how long can I expect to be up until?

Will I still need to carry on drinking throughout the night? And if I do, will I be up needing the loo or will that have stopped and I’ll just be peeing?

can I expect to still need to pee during this process?!

is it safe to have something like Lucozade sport given the plenvu is electrolytes?

sorry I am so anxious about this part! Once that’s over I guess I get to be anxious about the procedure - yay lucky me!

Painkiller has worn off I think, feeling uncomfortable this evening. Pain/discomfort I’ve never experienced before so can’t get my head around what it is. Doesn’t feel like gas, but moving all over abdomen so assume it is.

@flappingsoles it was delicious 😋 exactly what was required. I slept like a log last night unsurprisingly and feel fine today. Bit windy but that's the air they used during the procedure. I've just realised today how good the sedation & painkillers were, I was slurring my words yesterday afternoon! I don't think I would've been as comfortable without it, I think I had quite an extensive colonoscopy reading the letter they sent home with me they got all the way to the lower intestine which the lady was very pleased about 🤷‍♀️ the scope was in for a good 45 mins. They need to reassess the Plenvu though surely they could give that in tablet form so long as you drink the 2 litres of water?! Hope everyone is ok today sending hugs

Ooo good! I couldn’t stomach much yesterday, but appetite is back to normal today.

still got loose stools but wasn’t surprised by that!

yes I feel so much better today, I don’t think I realise how much my memory was affected yesterday, some conversations and things are a bit fuzzy but I felt perfectly with it at the time.

I feel like my colonoscopy was like 10 minutes! But I don’t have times on the report. It went very quickly anyway. M

I also Got to the end, I remember seeing the ileum on the screen. Looked like something in the deep ocean! But mine was all yellow because of bile staining whereas when I’ve seen pictures online it looks more white
