Embarrassing men you find secretly sexy

Who is your embarrassing cringe famous person crush? I'll start with what I suspect is the most embarrassing - Emmanuel Macron. I know he's a total tool and arrogant, and it's cheesy as hell but honestly I just think yes! Even that CRINGE photo of him with his shirt wide open and hairy rug chest on display, remember that? Everyone mocked, I mocked, and yet.....
😳

Oh if we're including animated characters then - Prince Eric and Alladin.

Plus, Cloud Strife from the Final Fantasy games. I love a moody blond.

icelollycraving · 29/01/2025 20:07

I have vague recollection of answering one of these when Ds was teeny and I said Zak from Zingzillas. I realised I needed to go back to work 🤣
Now, I’d say Ray Winston, Daniel Mays, Mick in Gavin & Stacey (not Larry Lamb, just Mick),
Tom Hiddleston only when dancing to Boney M, currently Ted Lasso, again not the actor, the character. My tastes wax and wane.

LuckySantangelo35 · 29/01/2025 20:08

Dunno whether he’d be classed as embarrassing but I do think Reece Shearsmith is pretty hot 🔥

MiniPumpkin · 29/01/2025 20:09

Martin clunes.. something about him in that blue overall in out there

ScruffMuffin · 29/01/2025 20:09

@Oz2025 Jackson Lamb is an absolutely amazing character, and I'm in stitches every time he's on screen. Gary Oldman is just brilliant in the programme. But as for fancying Lamb?!?! Very odd! Urghhh, I can practically smell him through the screen.

'This is Mumsnet, not YouTube/Facebook/Twitter/TikTok etc. We can use all the words here, thank fuck. 😁'

I always wondered why people say 'unalive' instead of dead.

Sometimesright · 29/01/2025 20:11

Alan Davies

Sometimesright · 29/01/2025 20:13

thearchers · 28/01/2025 21:54

Greg Davies
Philip Glenister (in Life on Mars)

Definitely Philip Glenister but not his brother.

Because lots of platforms like Facebook remove posts/videos with words like that in.

Neil Kinnock and Les Dennis. Edited to say in the 80s

Edited

Eeeeee I fancied Neil Kinnock 😮

Thistlewoman · 29/01/2025 20:15

Lentilweaver · 28/01/2025 21:27

Mark Rylance.

Paradoes · 28/01/2025 21:43

Mr Bates from Downton 🥰

He was in a Catherine Cookson drama when he was younger and I have to say he was extremely attractive in that! May have been the Cinder Path.

Thistlewoman · 29/01/2025 20:20

Newsenmum · 28/01/2025 21:45

Zelensky. Such a strong attraction.

My friend likes Elon musk and she hates herself.

Zelensky-fair enough. He is an amazingly brave man.
Elon Musk???? Absolutely not. He his REVOLTING-both physically and in personality. Your friend needs urgent help. 🤣

Thistlewoman · 29/01/2025 20:25

Appalonia · 28/01/2025 21:47

Jeremy Clarkson and Elon Musk. Maybe because they are both intelligent and make me laugh?

I'm sorry. Clarkson at a push, with a blindfold...
But Elon Musk??? Just NO. Please seek urgent help🤣

Sometimesright · 29/01/2025 20:25

crackadawn · 28/01/2025 22:13

Paul Kaye too

Brain cox 100% - don't think that's an embarrassing one

Brien cox makes my skin crawl. I can’t watch him.if he comes on Tv I have to turn over. I can’t explain it but he really gives me the creeps!

MrsDuskTilldawn2point0 · 29/01/2025 20:26

People who say Stephen Merchant are on to something. I love him 😄

Abracadabra12345 · 29/01/2025 20:26

My mum had a giant crush on Mr Wilson (as we all called him) when he was PM. She used to go quite girly when he appeared on TV, something she never did with Dad...

sidebirds · 29/01/2025 20:27

Lowcarbonated · 28/01/2025 21:32

I second this! Also used to have a think for Tony Robinson.

I'll raise you for ten, mine is Tommy Robinson. I am pretty certain his politics aren't as reported (hence support by Kellie-Jaye Keen and others), not to mention I am Japanese, but he looks so cheap!! 🤯😂😂😂

Thistlewoman · 29/01/2025 20:29

Strawpollplease · 28/01/2025 22:00

Jacob Rees Mogg. Seriously

Just stop right there. I just can't unsee JRM in his flannelette PJs and it's burning my retinas (and not in a good way).

Abracadabra12345 · 29/01/2025 20:30

The character of Sherlock in the audiobook narrated by Stephen Fry. I fell in love with him a bit more with each story

Gandalfsthong · 29/01/2025 20:39

LostittoBostik · 28/01/2025 21:55

My answer is Bill Nighy. He's a lot older than my dad, but I absolutely would

Me too! So well turned out too!

Sometimesright · 29/01/2025 20:41

Greyish2025 · 28/01/2025 22:43

Stanley Tucci, in his 60s but still somehow manages to look cute,
gorgeous smile and lovely personality

Yeah i totally agree!

Polkadotbabushka · 29/01/2025 20:41

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 28/01/2025 21:32

Thistlewoman · 29/01/2025 20:43
