King size duvet on double bed - worth it?

Bit random but I heard using a king size duvet on a double bed is a “game changer”. Is this true?

I don’t know whether it’s worth it to the extent of having to replace all my double size duvet covers…

Definitely worth it. No getting cold at night anymore when H rolls over in bed and takes the duvet with him, and super warm when he's on nights and I'm sleeping on my own. I wish we'd bought one sooner

Yes! I have a super king duvet on a king bed.

Yep, definitely a game-changer. No more 'you've got all the duvet!' comments. Plenty to spare.

Assuming two in a bed: yes!! Otherwise there's never enough duvet. Genuinely couldn't go back to a double size duvet unless it's summer.

the only annoying thing is as it is heavier it is easier for it to be pulled over and hang off the edge leaving one person cold!

Two single duvets on a super king is what I do, and I will never go back.

Always put a larger duvet on a bed, double on a single, king on a double and so on. Makes all the difference and makes for happier sleepers.

DH and I spent the night wrestling a duvet recently a double duvet on a double bed didn't work at all!

Keep the double duvet for the summer when a leg hanging out is nice and cooling!

But yes, I always have a duvet one size bigger than the bed.

Two single duvets is the real game changer

Been married 27 years, ALWAYS had a KS duvet. Really struggle if we go away and the duvet size matches the bed, unless Super KS. But we are also both of a rather cuddly build!!!

Yes, I've always done this and sized up. If I roll over, I have extra duvet to stick some between be knees and when I roll the other way- my back isn't exposed and cold.

Another option can be you each have a duvet to yourself!

Single or double duvet each. Way forward. We have singles in the summer and doubles in the winter.

I agree. I like the duvet tucked under me both sides so one each is the only fair solution!
