Hampshire.

Mine, single oven and hob top, (so not dual oven) used to be £40 7-8 years ago. It's now £100-120. I'm not sure it's worth it any more, unfortunately.

What are you paying?

NE England - £59 for single oven and hob.

NikkiAlexander · 28/01/2025 10:24

Dearg · 28/01/2025 10:27

£70 per oven , £40 for the hob. NE Scotland. I stopped using them.

I sort of do the maths. How much time and effort would it take me to do a job that I'm capable of versus paying someone to come in and do it? I feel £120 is pushing it a bit.

Around £60 here (Gloucestershire).

littlemisssunshine247 · 28/01/2025 10:55

£100-150 for range cooker & extractor (East Midlands)

Redglitter · 28/01/2025 11:04

£50 for a single
£60 for a double

Central Scotland

Midlifecrisisxamillion · 28/01/2025 11:06

£50 here

LER83 · 28/01/2025 11:07

I'm Essex and had mine done just before Christmas. It was £65 for a double oven, and would have been an extra £20 if I wanted the hob top & extractor fan doing. My oven was beyond filthy so it was money well spent, looked brand new! My mum paid £55 for her single oven.

LindorDoubleChoc · 28/01/2025 11:12

I think it was £65 for our eye level oven last time. We don't get the top oven done, it barely gets used. In London.

I wouldn't pay to have the hob cleaned - it's a really easy 5 minute DIY job.

TulipTuesday · 28/01/2025 11:15

£50 for single oven. About 8 years ago, the same fella would do oven and hob for £40 so I’m happy he hasn’t put his prices up too much. This is in Shropshire.

LoveBluey · 28/01/2025 12:30

£55 for single oven - also Hampshire.

I don't get the hob cleaned but I have induction so it's a really simple wipe clean every day.

Buzzer3555 · 28/01/2025 13:13

If you're doing maths and are in the market for professional oven cleaning every year or two, then you'll likely find a pyrolytic oven will pay for itself in a few years.

I paid £80 for a clean of a very dirty oven some years ago but when we got a new kitchen I sold the old one on ebay and got AEG self cleaning ovens for about £500 each , likely cost more now obviously.

We put the pyro on a few times a year and not felt the need to pay anyone for oven cleaning since.

About a fiver, pack of Oven Brite stuff, leave on overnight and boom. I can't imagine letting your hob getting so scummy you need to get the professionals in to de-scuzz it 🤔

Maybe DIY then spend the money you've not spent on a lovely treat?

Fordian · 28/01/2025 16:42

Also, last time, the oven bloke was pretty cagey about putting the presumably cast iron grid/stand that saucepans actually rest on, on a gas hob, in his special cleaning solution. Which kind of defeated the purpose of the clean!

South East and was recently charged £120 for a small range cooker -2 ovens and a grill.

Because they will discolour... so he was correct to decline.

travelmadmum23 · 28/01/2025 17:40

£50 single
£70 double
£140 range/aga

PigInAHouse · 28/01/2025 17:42

I paid £70 for my oven with separate grill last week. I’d probably pay £120 as it’s an arsehole of a job.

£100 double oven, north of England. I do it myself now as the person I used cancelled an appointment early last year.

This HG product gets it as clean as the professionals, can’t link for some reason. I keep on top of it now I’m doing it myself 🤣.

No scrubbing or elbow grease required.

South East
Double oven £85

Slytherinnnnn · 28/01/2025 17:48

Oh, I also bought some silicone oven liner things, they make a difference too.

thenightsky · 28/01/2025 17:51

Last January I paid £85. When I rang for them to come back again this week, I was quoted £120. When I expressed surprised at the huge leap in price, chap said... 'as you're a previous customer, I'll do it for £100.'

I said I'll think about. I'm still thinking.

Single oven with grill section above.

East Midlands.
