If you’re a size 10 what bra size are you?

burberrygodess · 11/01/2025 12:32

Just the inches part. Are you 36”?

I’m trying to lose weight (not weighing myself, just measuring) and I looked on ASOS to see what a 10 would be and it’s says 36”? But I assumed a 10 was closer to 32”?

This chart feels off…

If you’re a size 10 what bra size are you?

And your bra band size doesn't always correlate with clothing sizes, someone who is a 32B will wear smaller clothing size than a 32F so for clothes its the full bust measurement.

Also shows in the range being stated in comments, I'm measure 31 underbust but wear a 12 (32DD bra size) and others have said they wear a 34 but are a 10.

dementedpixie · 11/01/2025 12:50

@burberrygodess why are you asking about bra size when you actually want to know measurements around the fullest part of your bust?

Are you buying clothes or bras?

Gettingslimmer · 11/01/2025 12:52

I’m a 36 at a ten.

boob or bust is,responsible for women wearing too tight band, having red welts and being desperately uncomfortable

you should be able to get two fingers under the band,

I'm a 20/22 and wear 36GG
I need bigger tops because my overbust measurement is much bigger than my underbust measurement.
Asking for a bra size is pointless if you want to buy clothing

BogRollBOGOF · 11/01/2025 12:53

Size 8-10 tops
32D bra. My back's recently gone up since I started doing heavier weights.

Hermanfromguesswho · 11/01/2025 12:54

Im a 10 and my bra size is 32E
boob or bust say it should be 30F but I find the slightly less tight band more comfortable

I wear a 36 back at size 20/22. I wear a large cup size too. A bigger back would not offer me enough support and would ride up at the back

KnittedCardi · 11/01/2025 12:55

Boobs and sizing are meaningless. I measure 43" round my boobs. According to many sizing charts that would make me an 18. I wear a twelve, because my ribs and frame are small.

xyzandabc · 11/01/2025 12:55

I think the thread title and chart posted by OP are confusing people.

The chart has nothing to do with bra sizes.

There will be a range of answers because we're all built differently and bras are manufactured differently.

Take your tape measure, measure under bust in inches. Use that as a starting point to try some bras. You may need to go up/down band or cup depending on the make.

To answer the title question, when I was a size 10, I was a 28 band size in bras. I have quite a small rib cage.

KnittedCardi · 11/01/2025 12:55

Bra measurement is 32H

Theperenniallaunderess · 11/01/2025 12:57

When I was a size 10 (those days are long gone), I was a 28GG.

user263758910 · 11/01/2025 12:59

I'm a size 8 and a 34.

JustWalkingTheDogs · 11/01/2025 13:00

When I was a size 10, I was a 32 F

Octomingo · 11/01/2025 13:01

I'm 10-12 in tops. 30ff bra.
I'm the same size according to the boob or bust and bravissimo ladies. This means my bras are tight enough to hold me nice and secure and that clothes fit properly.

In my 20s, I thought I was 34d and size 14 in shirts, because they always gaped.

Got a proper fitting bra and suddenly realised I wasn't a 14.

I'd like sleeves on size 12 tops to reach my wrists though. I'm tall, but not immense.

Sinkintotheswamp · 11/01/2025 13:04

32B.
I've not work a bra since the pandemic though. I discovered the primark halter neck sports bras are comfier and more supportive.

NicLSmith · 11/01/2025 13:16

I’m a 30 x

I really don’t care anymore tbh

rainbowunicorn · 11/01/2025 13:26

The chart you showed says bust so that is the measurmet around the full part of your bust. Thatbwould be the cups in a bra. The band size is not the same as the bust. You can't look at a chart for clothes to determine your bra size.

I'm a 34 at a 16/18 and no welts or uncomfortable
TBH I should probably drop a band size as I can fit a fist in the back band at the back

thesaskedminger · 11/01/2025 13:44

Is that a bra size chart, it looks to just be a 'top' size chart which isn't the same?

thesaskedminger · 11/01/2025 13:47

Right, so the size chart is actually not a bra sizing chart but the MATERNITY measurement chart on ASOS

If you’re a size 10 what bra size are you?
thesaskedminger · 11/01/2025 13:48

Nope scratch that the inches seem to match but not the cms

MaltipooMama · 11/01/2025 13:58

I'm a 10 on top but 8 on the bottom, bra size is 32F, I've always been too big chested for my frame!

Octomingo · 11/01/2025 16:46

Just noticed it's asos sizing.
In that case, you just need to order your normal size, plus one either side. And maybe a wild card size.

Their fit guide told me I was size 10 in trousers. So I ordered 10 and 12. Turns out it should have been 14. And I had to pay to return them. My own fault though; told myself I'd refuse to shop at asos anymore after being called a 'serial returner'. I shop there twice a year.
