I feel mine is cluttered

I have a lamp. But it looks a bit dated. Then tablets, photo propped up not in a frame, handcrean, pillow spray, foot spray, coaster. It looks cluttered. But I need all these things before I go to bed

Alarm clock

Vicks Vapo-Rub

Lamp, CPAP machine, coaster

Aren’t CPAPs just the best things? Uncomfortable and unattractive, but suddenly sleep is achievable. God bless them!
(mine is around the corner from the bedside shelf on a table)

Lamp
Photo of my late husband smiling at me

Nannyfannybanny · 11/01/2025 09:33

Nice lamp, had it since the 70s, cost me a huge amount of money. Oak and brass, coaster, alarm clock. All the other stuff is in the drawer underneath, comes out at night Put away in the day. There's a little torch at night so I can get out for a wee.

Spicykitten · 11/01/2025 09:33

Two framed photos
Lamp
A trinket jar that conceals 2 pots of lip balm

Small alarm clock
A glass of water on a coaster
Gaviscon
Deodorant
Emery board
Lip balm
Hand cream
Face cream
Hair brush

Codeine

Far too much stuff.

Ginmonkeyagain · 11/01/2025 10:07

Radio, headphones, handcream, glass of water, contraceptive pills, ear plugs, pot of lip balm and over night - my mobile phone

Nannyfannybanny · 11/01/2025 21:44

Good grief, I hope those of you who keep meds out don't have young children..a lot of you must have enormous bedside tables! I can't bear clutter, stuff I use like hand cream, eye mask, torch, goes straight into the drawer in the morning. Must be a nightmare to dust with all this stuff.

ChocolateTea · 11/01/2025 21:51

@Nannyfannybanny mine are 16/18 so no issue here. Tbh never was, they don’t come in my room, I never had an issue with them when they were younger finding Christmas presents etc, we respect each others space, whilst also being open if they’re upset or need me. Tbh we have never had a locked medicine cabinet or medicines hidden away.

shelf of fossils, prehistoric flints tools and random old metal objects, stuff for cleaning and preserving archeological finds, a bra
and a dirty top that should have gone straight in the the washing basket, a drink,
