Something is going to happen between Musk and Trump. Both men-children with fragile egos. My bet is that Musk will turn on Trump, just like he turned on Farage. He's shown he has zero personal loyalty, and it seems he acts on emotions.

Agreed. Sociopaths don’t have friends, they have people they use whilst it suits them.

ChannelFiveDrama · 05/01/2025 22:56

Why would someone having a lot of resources make them trustworthy? The two things are entirely unrelated.

Oh a bit like labour then

No, Labour’s leaders are elected by the members. Membership of Reform doesn’t mean you get to choose the leader.

Cunts, the lot of them.

Yep.

Farage and his crocodile tears about the girls who were raped and trafficked. Doesn’t seem too concerned about the misogyny, sexual misconduct and criminality of his orange chum.

squirrelnutcartel · 05/01/2025 23:05

I think they're all just trolling each other, apart from Trump who's too thick to troll anyone.

good, with musks resources i trust him more

Because a foreigner, who inherited a fortune from near slavery under Apartheid and increased it by loan sharking has more money than a domestic gobshite, you trust him to interfere in our elections?

Do you need a long lie down in a dark room?

orangewasp · 05/01/2025 23:17

Well all that arse licking seems to have backfired on Nige.

Pair of twats.

Also agree there'll be a public fallout between Musk and Trump soon.

Butterfly292828 · 05/01/2025 23:20

I meant shower of grifters & wankers she said!

TheFairyCaravan · 05/01/2025 23:26

It made me laugh like a drain.

Farage was on the telly box, this morning, gloating about his bromance with Elon Musk. Then a couple of hours later he’s publicly dumped. He’s not looking very cool now is he? .

Likewise.

That comment about the young and looking cool was embarrassing to listen to.

mellongoose · 05/01/2025 23:36

Sadly it's making NF look more electable and less crazy.

I agree it's a set up and we are being had.

CherryVanillaPie · 05/01/2025 23:38

What a bore Elon Musk is. I've deleted the BBC app as I kept getting breaking news alerts about his yawnsome "pearls of wisdom." 🥱

noblegiraffe · 05/01/2025 23:40

You think this is a cunning set up?

It’s pretty clear what happened, Musk has been tweeting ‘free Tommy Robinson’, Farage said ‘I don’t agree with Musk on this’ and Musk tweeted ‘Farage is a loser’.

It’s not 4D chess.

sleepwouldbenice · 05/01/2025 23:41

RubyWinehouse · 05/01/2025 22:46

I'm guessing you all still rely on the mainstream media. Free Tommy Robinson

Yawn

OneLemonDog · 05/01/2025 23:42

Musk and Trump is going to be interesting, for sure.

The MAGA movement is an isolationist one, that is very explicitly anti-globalist.

Musk is a globalist.

Musk didn't initially seem to have much time for MAGA but, following the 2020 election, threw his weight behind them. Personally, my read is that Musk really just wants to be idolized by the public and most of his crypto-bro followers were Trump supporters.

I am not sure that Trump could have won the last election without Musk's support, and now Musk is front and centre of his administration. I imagine Trump was, and remains, in need of financial support and sees Musk as a useful friend in that respect.

The MAGA base already seem to be turning on Elon.

I'm not sure if Trump's ego will allow him to permit Elon to continue to outshine him but, ultimately, Trump (I suspect) needs to keep Musk on side. Trump needs Musk far more than Musk needs Trump.

I think that Trump will remain in Elon's pocket for the foreseeable future, and Trump will attract increasing anger from his base for pursuing more "globalist" policies.

OneLemonDog · 05/01/2025 23:43

Zero idea why that got instantly censored.

CherryVanillaPie · 05/01/2025 23:44

Elon Musk grew up in apartheid South Africa and it shows. Even his kids hate him.

Did you have a link in it?

Or mention a type of shoe worn in school PE lessons?

Hardly surprising really. His father is an arrogant wanker and his mother seemed to believe she gave birth to the new messiah.

AIBot · 06/01/2025 00:56

Why must we give the oxygen of publicity to these sad men? The world is in desperate need of competent adult leaders.

how would you define "competent adult leaders."

GreenTeaLikesMe · 06/01/2025 02:10

This is great news. Infighting among unpleasant people is always fun to watch and makes all the normal people look better by comparison.

SharpOpalNewt · 06/01/2025 02:12

It's not often the ten o' clock news makes me laugh out loud.

Oh for god's sake

Can this be moved to the political forum please @MNHQ? All these threads are so tedious.

+1 for this.

GreenTeaLikesMe · 06/01/2025 02:49

On Twitter, a lot of deluded conservative fools have been pontificating vaguely about how "Trump and Musk love the UK and have this special relationship with us" (based on the fact that both have a parent from the UK and Trump likes to play golf in Scotland). I think this kind of thing makes it clear what the "special relationship" involves: it is about US politicians trying to order British people about and kicking off if they don't get exactly what they want.

I suggest we take this as an opportunity to bury the very idea of a special Atlanticist relationship, and move closer to Europe again which is where we belong.
