What can you currently hear?

I can faintly hear my DH talking to his parents on video call in his office, with the DCs interjecting every now and then to tell Granny and Papa about this and that.
I'm in the kitchen living area with the dog at my feet, gently snoring while I'm having a quick scroll on MN with Wallace & Gromit on very low.

A very loud very high pitched buzzing which is worse in my right ear than my left

The dog occasionally sighing.

My contentedly muddy dog snoozing peacefully beside me. The occasional faint chirp of a sparrows in my garden tree

RAIN

Raindrops.

And the click of keys as I type.

It's really unusual - I'm in London and can hear neither traffic noise nor aeroplanes overhead.

I guess people have rescheduled plans to be driving anywhere today, and planes are on one of the other approach routes

Obviously not in the UK!

Classic FM and the tumbler dryer rumbling gently in the utility room. The Shi Tzu gently snoring in his bed. I'm sitting on the sofa in an open plan living dining kitchen room

A family talking in a large group whilst we are all lying around the swimming pool. Completely boring, insane conversation. But we all have to listen as they go on and on and on......
Currently hearing about what they had for breakfast.

Smooth radio, chatter from family and rain

Background music in the pub, chatter, clink of glasses as it rains outside. Very pleasant

Rain and wind outside, woodburner crackling away and our old cat snoring away on my best jumper

Put the TV on mute and absolutely nothing, apart from the ticking of a clock. Bliss, after a really busy Christmas and new year

Darts 🎯

Horse racing on the telly, rain outside, cars passing on the wet road, the washing machine, the kitten making squeaky noises playing with a ball.

Washing machine and a snoring cat, plus a bit of very muted traffic beyond hhe double glazing, splashing in the wet.

A Radio 4 programme about the Shipping Forecast. The low hum of the dehumidifier drying my laundry. The gentle snores of my cat asleep on the sofa.

I can hear tinnitus (high five to the tinnitus club?), DD singing about Christmas trees, DH whistling a tune for her to sing to, and DS rummaging in the fridge.

The washing machine, Harry Potter music and my son’s Xbox pad being pressed. Occasionally the of “yes!” When he wins

Boiler humming and radiators ticking as they warm up. DH and two dogs breathing quietly. No cars or road noise.

I just heard myself chuckling, the canal boat "high speed" chase scene in W&G is one of the funniest things I've watched in a long time 😂

Boiling water where potatoes are parboiled, the sound of the oven and the spitting of duck fat inside it
