He can sleep in the bath. Hopefully it has an overhead shower for rinsing purposes Grin

Butthechildrentheylovethebooks · 31/12/2024 23:52

There's a very reasonable chance he'll shit through the eye of a needle.
@LisaJohnsonsFacebookMole one of my favourite Fast Show quotes 😂'what did I say Roy?'

Semiramide · 31/12/2024 23:53

Why on earth didn't you freeze them before they went out of date?

God I hope you know what I'm on about 😂

Also, dont eat the prawns!

Plump82 · 31/12/2024 23:43

Absolutely not. My mum got horrendous food poisoning from a prawn ready meal curry and passed out the next day.

Jesus. I was skim reading and saw "on" instead of "out". What a whole new tone that would have set! I hope your mum is okay now.

Food poisoning advice
For your husband ...

JennyPenny222 · 01/01/2025 00:21

No chance.
I'd pay the value of that item ten times over not to be shitting myself tomorrow.

Scutterbug · 01/01/2025 00:22

No, and I’m normally pretty lax with dates.

Gorgeousfeet · 01/01/2025 00:22

Fuck that. How ridiculous to even contemplate it.

Outofdateprawncocktail · 31/12/2024 21:40

He hasn't eaten them (there are 2!!) yet. They are in the fridge, he's refusing to let ne throw them out.
I have even offered him the money they cost, in case that's what's driving him to eat them. 🙄

@Randomontheinternet25 Hmmm, that sounds a sensible precaution - I'll stick him in the bathroom from the start.

Get them in the bin quick.

He's a bloody fool but you'll end up suffering too!

toolongiroaminthenight · 01/01/2025 00:27

Hell, no! I'm not precious about dates, but out of date prawns, I draw the line there.

It shouldn't, but that made me laugh!!

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 01/01/2025 00:41

Wouldn't stop my DH eating them if he was that stupid (and after a few drinks he probably is) but if they were still there in the morning they'd be in the bin .

Thunderpants88 · 01/01/2025 00:43

100% yes. If my desire was to spend a couple of days vomiting . . .

Don’t mess with seafood and don’t use the smell test-it is covered in a sauce which could mask an “off” smell

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 01/01/2025 00:45

Good heavens, no!

Franjipanl8r · 01/01/2025 00:49

I’d eat it if I was desperate to have a week off work and drop a dress size.

BaronessBomburst · 01/01/2025 00:49

Hopefully they'll taste of ammonia and he won't eat them.

SugarPlumpFairyCakes · 01/01/2025 01:20

Several dress sizes. And an unforgettable experience.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 01/01/2025 14:48

So did he eat them @Outofdateprawncocktail?

Outofdateprawncocktail · 01/01/2025 15:00

Haha, no - I binned them! 😆

He started with a cold last night, sniffles & sneezing & the Dressing Gown of Doom made an appearance this morning, so it's just as well he didn't eat them & end up with the mother of all food poisoning!! 😂

Betchyaby · 01/01/2025 15:16

Seafood is the main thing you don't mess around with.

I got food poising from a piece of fish that was in date but must have had a broken vac pack. Think sharting on the sofa and uncontrollable vomiting.

I was never a fan of Aldi anyway, but I've never shopped in there since! Bastards tried to kill me😂

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 01/01/2025 16:10

Oh well, since the Dressing Gown of Doom has appeared anyway, you should get the prawn cocktails out of the bin and serve them for his tea.

Xanadu58 · 01/01/2025 16:16

No

Waterboatlass · 01/01/2025 16:18

Nope. I'm veggie anyway and very happy go lucky about dates (I don't think a lot of foods should have dates) but wouldn't recommend going so far over with seafood.

Waterboatlass · 01/01/2025 16:18

Cross post! Glad you didn't risk it!!
