What was the first vinyl single, album, CD, cassette or 8-track you bought?

Mine was Car 67 by Driver 67. I bought it with a Boots gift voucher just after Christmas 1978. The B-side, an instrumental called Communications Breakdown (nothing to do with Led Zeppelin) is the superior track.

Single - Horse with No Name by America, aged 9 and still like the song.

I don't remember buying much music when I was growing up. I didn't buy a CD player until I was 27! Consequently I listened to what my older brothers and sisters and parents bought which consisted of the Bay City Rollers, David Essex, the Glitter Band, Haircut One Hundred, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Wham!, Ted Nugent, Howard Jones, AC/DC, Perry Como, Shirley Bassey, Tony Christie, Johnny Mathis, Jack Jones and Neil Diamond. And others besides.
