For me it's my Apple Watch!

My shakti mat. I use it every day and recommend them to everyone as it’s massively reduced my headaches and as a result has genuinely improved my life. I should be on commission

Rainbows89 · 29/12/2024 14:30

Why are the Apple Watches so amazing?? I believe you all but can anyone just explain a bit more why?

Ameliasvocalfry · 29/12/2024 14:40

Ear plugs + magnesium - I now sleep soundly and deeply.
A spray mop - takes up so little room and is instantly ready to use.
Dehumidifier - dries washing and keeps mould at bay.
And Dulcoease.

A Japanese sickle and hori hori knife. They've become essential kit.

PlumpHobbit · 29/12/2024 16:09

The tumble dryer. I'm now obsessed with it despite only having had it a couple of weeks 😂

To be able to just shove everything in rather than juggling stuff between radiators etc, love it!

Pollydollydoodle · 29/12/2024 16:54

@Rainbows89 I'm not sure I can explain why! It gives me text and call notifications, accurately records my exercise, steps, workouts, sleep etc. I can track my kids from it, and it syncs with a lot of the apps on your phone. Because i sleep with mine on I have also ditched my alarm clock and use the watch.

Wifi at the chalet

SerafinasGoose · 29/12/2024 17:08

Another vote for sheepskin slipper boots. Having first owned a pair I now can't be without them: a very favourite luxury item
Dents leather gloves, especially the button variety
Slow cooker
Bread machine

Headphones in a headband - so useful both for listening to music at the gym/keeping hair out of face and also for falling asleep to relaxation recordings. DH and I now mostly sleep in separate beds due to his snoring but if we have to spend a couple of nights in the same room on holiday or staying with friends, I can put on white noise/relaxation stuff on them to cover the noise (it probably wouldn't be great for my ears to do that every night, but occasionally is OK) and fall asleep wearing the headband. I can't wear earbuds as I've become totally allergic to having anything in my ears.

Dishwasher, haven't had one until moved into my present house ! Will never be without 1 again

So - yes, sometimes they get stuck but it’s very rarely happened in our house.

corners - they have little sweepy brushes like helicopter blades that get into corners.

Under beds and sofas - obvs they will only go underneath these if they can fit. Mine goes under our sofas and beds and frankly I would never be able to Hoover underneath them otherwise as they are too low.

I have a Eufy from the Amazon refurbished store. It came all in perfect condition in a new box etc. it was £134 about 4 yrs ago. It came with huge strips of magnet that you can use under furniture/ rugs etc to zone rooms as it’s not a posh one that can map a room. I will def buy another one when this one dies. In fact I would like one for upstairs too.

Thank you, don't even know a single person who owns one, hence surprised how often they come up on here.

Head torch.

Great for dog walks in the dark.

Youtube premium to avoid horrid ad interruptions

Dehumidifyer, rooms smell better and fresher thanks to it.

Dettol laundry, clothes smell amazing and cleaner than ever

Green colour corrector on my nose in winter, stops the red nose

Electric toothbrush, teeth feel so much cleaner. Sometimes when I'm away or forgot to charge it and use a manual toothbrush my teeth don't feel as clean.

Which dehumidifier do you recommend? Does it get rid of dust aswell? Thanks.

Flash speed mop - used with reusable pads and method floor cleaner instead of the wipes

Peloton bike

Be you period patches

Where did you get the pads for the flash mop? Thanks.

RealHousewivesOfTaunton · 29/12/2024 19:38

A tumble dryer and a dishwasher. I didn't have either growing up but wouldn't consider not having them now.

It’s a brand of bento box style lunchbox for school or work. Expensive.

Expensive, but so worth it! DD is motivated to fill the sections by herself, so that's one less thing for me to do in the morning. The same goes for me - I eat much more varied food because it just invites me to fill up the sections with fruit/veg/dip. And they go in the dishwasher everynight. Actually changed my life.

unsync · 29/12/2024 19:41

@Mistletoewench I've realised that as long as one has hope, it is possible to survive / endure / continue in a positive way. Things do change and get better.

Hearing aids. I didn’t realise how much my hearing had deteriorated until they were switched on, and all of a sudden I could hear everything clearly again.

Me too! Hearing aids! Who knew!
