For me it's my Apple Watch!

I just bought an Airfryer two days ago. I'm hoping to be seduced by it.

Flash speed mop - used with reusable pads and method floor cleaner instead of the wipes

Peloton bike

Be you period patches

Electric blanket. My parents one set their mattress on fire when I was a kid, so only caved a few years ago.

Zofloramummy · 29/12/2024 10:48

Air fryer
Dishwasher - I have a tiny kitchen but bought a countertop dishwasher recently and it’s amazing!
Period pants
Seriously considering a robot hoover next

Treesandsheepeverywhere · 29/12/2024 10:52

Each of these threads always mention a robot vacuum cleaner.
Something I've resisted as I can't imagine them doing a thorough job.

Don't they get stuck, how do they hoover in corners, edge of under sofas or beds?

For me, it's a crossbody bag. Could never go back to the big cumbersome handbags.

Hearing aids. I didn’t realise how much my hearing had deteriorated until they were switched on, and all of a sudden I could hear everything clearly again.

2catsandhappy · 29/12/2024 11:14

Table top dishwasher! Not an argument about washing up since. Bliss.

username299 · 29/12/2024 11:19

I bought a really thick heated throw just before Christmas and absolutely love it.

I also love my battery powered candles.

Ashwagandha (herbal supplement). It totally got rid of my perimenopausal anxiety in about a week!

Rice cooker (Asian brand). Not only does it cook rice better- it also functions as a slow cooker and can cook other things along with the rice. Put rice and water in, plonk chicken and sauces/seasonings on top, press button. It also has a steamer basket that sits in the top where you can add vegetables part-way through, do they're ready at the same time as the other stuff. You can make cakes, yoghurt and risotto or rice pudding in it too.

Purplecatshopaholic · 29/12/2024 11:25

I can’t say my dogs, as I always knew I needed dogs in my life (maybe not quite as many, lol..)
Defo my iPad - never thought I needed one until I got one. You’d have to prise it out of my cold, dead hands.

stayathomer · 29/12/2024 11:26

So - yes, sometimes they get stuck but it’s very rarely happened in our house.

corners - they have little sweepy brushes like helicopter blades that get into corners.

Under beds and sofas - obvs they will only go underneath these if they can fit. Mine goes under our sofas and beds and frankly I would never be able to Hoover underneath them otherwise as they are too low.

I have a Eufy from the Amazon refurbished store. It came all in perfect condition in a new box etc. it was £134 about 4 yrs ago. It came with huge strips of magnet that you can use under furniture/ rugs etc to zone rooms as it’s not a posh one that can map a room. I will def buy another one when this one dies. In fact I would like one for upstairs too.

Dry Robe 😁

PuppyMonkey · 29/12/2024 12:30

Apple TV + - so many great shows.

Have to say I was very underwhelmed by the robovac I got this time last year. It was a Eufy one. It did a not very good job of vacuuming, kept going round the same room and not doing the whole ground floor, for example, mainly ignored the kitchen. Tried it for a month or so and it’s now gathering dust in a cupboard. Think our messy house (golden retriever) is just too much for it to cope with. Grin

My Dyson V11 on the other hand is amazing.

ShadowsOfTheDays · 29/12/2024 12:31

A really good camera.

Dishwasher, dog, children (not in order of importance!)

With the way ours have behaved today I would put them in that order!

NorthernGirlie · 29/12/2024 12:33

Our cleaner. We're very working class - my parents and friends take the piss but she's a relationship saver for us!

SoulMole · 29/12/2024 12:36

Double drawer air fryer
Clothes steamer - I LOVE it
Plug in foot file (far superior to cordless)

Good cordless vacuum

Which clothes steamer have you got, @SoulMole? I have a little handheld one, but am toying with a bigger version with a stand.

For me:

Apple Watch
Soup maker
Air fryer
