What’s your favourite conspiracy theory?

Mine is that there are reptilians living amongst us who can shape shift to look human and that most of the leaders in the world are reptilian. There’s many others I’ve heard of but just for fun, what is your favourite conspiracy theory?

About to say that one!

Nicholas cage is a vampire

Why specifically Finland?

lonelywater · 29/12/2024 00:30

check out-Richard case nagel, Dino bruglioni and Dorothy killgalen if you still think Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone nut.

HermoinePotter · 29/12/2024 00:30

That covid never existed at the height of the pandemic. We saw first hand how the medical staff suffered as they came home to us every day/night depending on their shifts. We witnessed how terrified they were and what they went through.

GymBuffMum · 29/12/2024 00:36

Favourite is not the right word but Princess Diana being assassinated is probably up there. I think there’d be easier ways to bump off someone if you had unlimited resources like the RF have than putting the sequences of events into action that led to her sad death. The effect on her sons of reading this crap accusing their father/grandfather must have been terrible when they were growing up.

Soonenough · 29/12/2024 00:49

I too love the lizard one . Especially the Royal Family. As Prince Philip got older and increasingly wrinkles it got funnier .
Diana death not being an accident. I think it was so shocking and unbelievable that people just don't want to accept the randomness of her life being cut so tragically short.

Aliens are going to make themselves known on 3rd of January and change the world.

Change the world how? Should I bother doing the weekly shop?

To be honest if aliens turned up I think we should give them a go, they can't make it much worse can they 😂

(Ps thanks to the posters who corrected my availability Lavigne knowledge from Natasha to Melissa! That will make it easier for me to Google and see if there's any updates 😂)

EmmaSmiff · 29/12/2024 01:33

The one about the man who invented a car engine to run on water being assassinated.

There were two conspiracy theories in my school that have always been living in my head since I left:

a) Mr F had a long woolen coat with a false arm he was always watching netball matches in that coat, whatever the weather and the theory was he was having a wank under his coat undetected thanks to the false arm.

b) That there was a secret tunnel from our senior school that let to the junior school next door. In the middle was a nuclear bunker. Never found out it true.

Does the old Paul look different from the new Paul? He still carried on composing great songs, though, didn’t he?

This one has really disturbed me.

Errrrmmmm, how do you define the word 'great'?!

sashh · 29/12/2024 01:36

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 28/12/2024 22:22

That the twin towers was done on purpose. I mean wtaf!

Well it wasn't an accident. I think the conspiracy is about who was responsible.

Re the birds, the lockdown was so the bird's batteries could be changed.

If you can find it, Wilfred Wong's views are, well he believes them which is why he is in prison.

FizzyBisto · 29/12/2024 01:36

9/11 Building 7 is an interesting one, though.

No plane (or other projectile/object) hit it but it collapsed and fell anyway.

Plus, it was still clearly standing in the background when the BBC journalist announced that it had collapsed... then, 20 or so minutes later, it began to collapse.

Sentient aliens formally introducing themselves to the world would be pretty world changing I should think! No idea what their plans are.

That Finland doesn't exist.

How does that work? Where was I when I thought I was in Finland?

I didn't know if the conspiracy theory about it said whether they were going to kill us all or enslave us or anything like that. I'll just wait and see what happens when they get here 😂

In an X-Files research facility. But the man who knew the truth has died of lung cancer caused by chain smoking.

WorldDobbleChampion · 29/12/2024 04:43

@DappledThings I heard on a podcast that the rise of people believing in flat earth correlates with smart phones becoming common. The theory being that the people who believe in this sort of thing were too thick to get on the Internet otherwise.

Chutneysplural · 29/12/2024 04:54

Why do flat earth believers believe that we are the only flat planet? Or do they believe all other planets are flat too and their roundness is a lie? Or do they believe other planets are a conspiracy theory?

Morph22010 · 29/12/2024 05:08

not read full thread so not sure if it’s already been mentioned. The pigeons are mechanical spies, Covid was planned to keep us all inside so they could change the batteries

It's interesting until you actually look in to what happened. There is a BBC documentary.

A lot of damage was done to building 7 with falling debris. Similar to the Marriot Hotel that was also destroyed killing about 40 people.

SayyestotheDog · 29/12/2024 05:44

That pandas are not real animals but people dressed up in panda suits!

scalt · 29/12/2024 06:51

That Partygate was a conspiracy to anger people back to behaving normally, as the method of deliberately "frightening the pants off the public" to gain compliance had worked too well, people were still terrified when the government needed them to behave normally, and they had got used to being paid to do nothing; and Johnson's eyes lit up at being paid a few extra million to be the national scapegoat; any publicity is good publicity for him.

Yes, I know the idea is totally unrealistic, as Johnson took so many people down with him. But it would be a neat explanation for Partygate, though.

-It would make us all Wifi enabled

I wish that was true. I could have so much fun with my SSID.

All the Covid vaccine ones were quite good.
-It would make us all Wifi enabled yet here we all are still paying like mugs because Bill Gates has never turned us on. He's certainly never turned me on!
-We'd all drop dead a year later
-That a sensible way of thinning out the population is to inject them all individually rather than poisoning the water supply or releasing Small Pox for instance...

Oooh now I want to make myself a t-shirt saying, "C'mon Bill, hurry up and turn me on!"
I live in woo-ville and enjoy poking the bear(s) sometimes.

Kashmiri24 · 29/12/2024 08:19

im not sure if this is still going but some One Direction fans firmly believe that Harry Styles and band mate Louis Tomlinson are married and Louis’s child is either a robot or an actor.
