I don’t like any of them. I’m politically hornless but seeing this turd getting more and more popular would actually make me leave the country.

He's like a bad smell. Can't believe the amount of numpties who think he's on their side 🙄

The internet is absolutely hideous at the moment and social media (X, Facebook, YouTube etc) is absolutely flooded with misinformation, racism, scaremongering lies.
I honestly don't know what governments can do about it. It seems that some foreign powers are waging cyber warfare to destabilise some countries (incl UK) and some of the billionaire class are bankrolling the botfarms and buying media sites etc. I am disgusted with the amount of influence that the super rich now have and how dangerously they wield that power. I'm also really scared of them.

Yes. I've noticed what seems like loads of bots everywhere- even on Mumsnet. It's very worrying. People are gullible.

From what I can see the whole of Europe is moving to the right , with good reason .

One reason I am voting for Reform is that my local town is now a money laundering outfit on a grand scale. Vape shops, phone repair, American Candy/vape, Turkish Barbers. All cash only and duplicated on every street.

What do people think happens in these shops? How do these shops manage to stay open when other local businesses can't?

Profits from drugs/cannabis farms, illegal migration/trafficing, sales of stolen goods etc,

Dandeliontea123 · 29/12/2024 08:44

Hope everyone planning to vote Reform has visited Clacton recently so you can see for yourselves all the great improvements made by Farage!

And how will reform change that?

The alternative to Farage is endless immigration, so he gets my vote.

It's not fanciful to say that we are experiencing WW3, this is the form it's taking

People are blind and stupid. It's like an episode of the Twighlight Zone

Mumsnet is not immune. IRL farage and the thick racists who support him are rightly pitied but the way he is being pushed by the media and talked about disproportionately makes it seem as if he is legitimate and important.

How is he going to stop immigration?

Why can none of you come up with facts, only sound bites?

lavenderlou · 29/12/2024 08:54

He is totally self-serving and has no interest in leading the country. Far too much work. Look at the non-existent effort he's put in to being a constituency MP.

I assumed he would want to retire before the next election but I googled and he is only 60! I thought he was at least 10 years older. Hopefully all the smoking amd drinking will mean he isn't healthy enough to contend the next election.

@Walrusdress You're the one voting for them, not me. I have no opinion as I think he's a charlatan with no policies

I thought you would have known how he was stopping immigration. And is that ALL immigration?

Isn't that how Government works now? Through soundbites like 'Smash the Gangs' or 'Stop the boats'?

Here you go, the wonders of AI, just as expected by pretty much everyone but you it seems.

Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, has outlined a comprehensive immigration policy aimed at significantly reducing both legal and illegal immigration into the United Kingdom.

Freeze on Non-Essential Immigration: Reform UK proposes an immediate halt to all non-essential immigration, with exceptions for critical sectors such as healthcare.

Net Zero Migration: The party aims to achieve net-zero migration within 100 days of taking office, balancing the number of people entering and leaving the country.

Addressing Illegal Immigration: Reform UK plans to eliminate illegal immigration by preventing the settlement of illegal immigrants and returning those who arrive via unauthorized channels, such as small boats crossing the English Channel, back to France.

Withdrawal from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR): To facilitate stricter immigration controls, the party advocates for the UK to leave the ECHR, thereby removing legal obstacles to deportations.

Incentives for Employing British Workers: Reform UK proposes increasing employer National Insurance contributions to 20% for foreign workers, encouraging businesses to hire British citizens.

These measures reflect Reform UK's commitment to stringent immigration policies, focusing on reducing overall numbers and enhancing border security.

You'd think you'd be happy now you've fulfilled your deep desire for those sources that you kept asking everyone for. Clearly wasn't really what you wanted was it?

rewilded · 29/12/2024 09:14

Just to add the proliferation of these shops could also be through legal migration. They can probably obtain a work visa to work at these shops and then bring there family over too. Who knows? That is why all immigration needs to stop atm and money needs to be diverted to training our own workforce.

wholettheturnipsburn · 29/12/2024 09:17

@Walrusdress Well I couldn't read one of them as that was behind a paywall but the ones I did read were airy fairy promises with no evidence of how they are going to deliver on any of these

I kind of thought as you are waving your little flag you might have been able to say why YOU are voting for them, rather than generic google results but, if that's the powers of your conviction then good for you

You really think the EHCR is wrong

Twilight Zone

rewilded · 29/12/2024 09:20

@wholettheturnipsburn We don't know whether they can deliver yet but I think people are open to giving them the opportunity. What other choice do we have? Please tell me as I will gladly vote for them.

People are sick of the same parties residing over the same decline of the country . Rightly or wrongly Reform offers a change , a feeling that British citizens will be championed not derided. What the main parties have done is use tone deafness to blindly oversee a terminal decline that will be impossible to reverse without radical change . We can't support the world we don't have the infrastructure or the facilities. Get the country in order , functioning and homes for all and then you can open up to controlled skilled integrated immigration.

PandoraSox · 29/12/2024 09:37

Interesting snippet re:Reform's membership figures:

Tice also conceded that some of the party’s new members might not be entitled to vote in the UK, but said this was true of any political party membership. “The reality is that there is a wide spread of ages joining, but anybody can be a member of a political party from all over the world,” he said. “There’s a difference between membership of a political party and the right to vote.”

So there are mugs out there who have given Reform money for nothing in return, not even the chance to vote for them.

So what are Reform's plans to do all this, without using workers from outside the UK?

Eta: re building homes for all : Overseas workers account for almost 65% of London's house building workforce, with 50.8% of on-site staff coming from EU countries.

Here is the wiki link to Farage stating that he lives in Bromley. There are numerous other links on google to his UK property.

Unless you can provide anything (other than random x posts) then I can find no evidence to back up your post and until you can it's remains fake information.
