Teen bras- pleasehelp!

13yo DD has inherited her mothers genes, currently sized up at 32DD.

fitter at JL advice was no underwires, okay yes this makes sense. DD confidence beginning to crumble: no bras have thin enough straps or the cup fabric comes up too high and shows under strapping tops etc. then there is the issue of actual support. I remember the plight well as a teenager myself, but surely things have come on almost three decades later? Only I don’t know where to go to find since I don’t wear strappy tops myself really and don’t find my clothing choices much ruled by my bra options these days.

can anyone help me? Where should I look?

DD is 14 and a 32d. She was fitted in M&S with their cotton full cup non wired bra's (3 pack) They fit beautifully, the band is reasonably thick but the straps are thin, she's tried many others over the years but spends 90% of her time in these.

Just to agree with PP that red disappears under white. Then nude. White under white is very visible!

Dithercats · 27/12/2024 20:02

Try bravissimo.
Best fitting bras I've ever had.

Could you possible link? I think we have these but she says the actual cup fabric comes up tonight and shows where it meets the strap..

Do not get her fitted by M&S, they're awful
I'm a size 16/18 and comfortable wear a 34 band

I must try this!

Why are you ignoring people that say Bravissimo. I am your daughter’s exact size and have never found a decent fitting bra in M&S.

Dithercats · 28/12/2024 13:43

If she is a size 6 there is no way she should be wearing a 32.
M&S are bad at bra fitting.
Bravissimo is much better but obviously more expensive. If she is a size 6 with F boobs you need to pay the money out for well fitted bras.

SquishyGloopyBum · 28/12/2024 18:45

If she is moaning those bras show too much o think it also confirms a fitting issue. She's likley in too small a cup and too big a band.

She'll get more coverage if fitted properly.

I’m always amazed that people who don’t get a directed quoted response assume they are being ignored.

our nearest bravissimo is 90m away, I’ve found an independent fitter an hour away too- I’m making app at both but it’s not a nip up and sort today job.

thank you for the recommendation all.

Yes these are what Dd has and she's always been very happy in them, they barely show at all.

Vinorosso74 · 04/01/2025 17:24

My DD is 32E and got a couple of non wired bras in store in the Victoria's Secret sale this week (size in there is a 32DDD) £15 each instead of £39

LogicalImpossibility · 04/01/2025 17:39

My dd tried M&S, Boux Avenue, John Lewis and Primark.

Ended up with an online fitting with Bravissimo and their Millie bra in several colours. She wanted something that didn’t show, had thin straps but didn’t look like something a tween would wear.
