😱

I bloody love B&M but they are batshit early with stuff. So I'm not remotely surprised!

Gymmum82 · 24/12/2024 17:04

Morissons had Easter eggs in yesterday

I went earlier for a little walk and fresh air (the kids have been wild with excitement all day and I just needed some batteries I had forgotten)

Thought I would have a browse down the Christmas aisle see if anything else could be added to stockings etc and that whole lot of shelving as full of storage boxes 🙈🙈🙈

Littlebelina · 24/12/2024 17:07

They had Easter eggs in when I went in last Thursday....

Needmorelego · 24/12/2024 17:07

Well most of their Christmas stock was sold out last week.
There's no point keeping empty shelves and having the Easter products (already delivered) sat in the stock room so it goes out for sale.
No one has to buy them. But people do.
I bought a bag of mini creme eggs yesterday.
Cos I like them.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 24/12/2024 17:07

Crème eggs and mini eggs have been in Iceland for a few weeks already

Needmorelego · 24/12/2024 17:09

@JM88Jen large storage boxes are basically empty shelf fillers.
It look bad to have empty shelves.
I worked at Woolworths. We were doing that 30 years ago 😂

Damnloginpopup · 24/12/2024 17:44

Our B&M is open until 11pm tonight..I'm tempted to go later, show my support and gratitude for their efforts.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/12/2024 17:46

The post office in a nearby village had mini eggs prominently displayed when I went in for Xmas card stamps last week.

Alwaystired23 · 24/12/2024 17:59

I saw Easter biscuits in tesco last week. Crazy.

slightlydistrac · 24/12/2024 18:01

I know they do that but usually it's after Christmas is done at least 🤣

Andtheworldwentwhite · 24/12/2024 18:04

I used to work retail. My boss once tried to get me to put out eggs before Xmas. I refused 😂 he agreed.

I did this on about 10th December and got the same result!

Don't that's what encourages companies to open for stupid amount of hours at Christmas.
Retail staff also have families and before anyone says its a choice of you work those hours in retail it's generally you are working no choice given.

Yeah. I'm being sarcastic. I think it's disgusting.

I'm just happy that now that I no longer work nights in homeless hostels I get to have Christmas at home. There's a lot of people out there who have no choice to work all night/week, who are going to get a lot of shit thrown at them too.

Was it in Aldi? I popped in to my local one and the middle aisle was packed with storage boxes, is that the next retail season 😂

I remember going into Woolies on Christmas Eve and they were putting out the Easter eggs. It’s nothing new.

DevilWitch · 24/12/2024 18:39

The turn around is ridiculous, in Asda yesterday they were clearing the Christmas shelves away. Popped in today and they were taking all the Christmas decs and signage down, it’s not even Christmas yet!

OldTinHat · 24/12/2024 18:44

My local B&M had Easter Eggs out two weeks ago!

Feel sorry for the workers...

Of course. We live in a capitalist society. All they care about is making money.
