I love a "I'm at the in-laws and I'm starving"
Also "dp didn't propose"

Obviously this is very lighthearted

I was also going to say something to do with in laws, food heating or strange habits

FrannyScraps · 24/12/2024 15:01

The ungrateful ones who don't like their presents.

janfebmar87 · 24/12/2024 15:03

The thoughtless presents ones are always good. I do understand where people are coming from with that

Me too. Especially the ones where the poster takes massive umbridge that their partner's great aunt has not bothered to learn that they are allergic to any bath oil costing under £50, any candle under £100 and any chocolate you can buy in a supermarket 😉

MisterPNumber23 · 24/12/2024 15:12

It's got to be parking!!!!!!!!

TheDandyLion · 24/12/2024 15:20

Dan's Christmas eve puzzle.

Megapint · 24/12/2024 15:24

AIBU - Me & Dh agreed we wouldn't buy gifts for each other this year ( it was actually my idea. He wasn't really on board but reluctantly agreed. In the end, I did buy him a shit tonne, but he didn't buy me anything and seemed shocked when I handed him a pile of gifts. I actually blame my MIL it's ruined Christmas.

charabang · 24/12/2024 15:29

I've been in my step kids lives since they were little but they didn't get me a present. or...
I always spend time and energy to pick out really thoughtful gifts but MIL got me a Bayliss & Harding gift set.

mynameiscalypso · 24/12/2024 15:30

Love a starving at in-laws thread so much.

My favourite was when the op hadn't eaten in hours and and hours. She nipped upstairs for a shower and they all had scrambled eggs while she was upstairs

I love a cheeky fucker thread, so I'm looking forward to people taking dogs round without asking, guests taking wine home that wasn't opened, and especially lots of dickhead parking.

Melodyfair · 24/12/2024 15:34

Oh yes the ‘I’m sitting here in tears for the 10th year because yet again my husband hasn’t bought me a gift or got me a feather duster, I don’t understand as he’s been this way since I met him and I’ve stayed quiet and martyred myself over it, I’ve tried everything but talking to him, WHY CANT HE CHANGE OR READ MY MIND!’

Also of course the disgust for Baylis and Harding, love those!

The Fridge

BusySittingDown · 24/12/2024 15:36

I WAS looking forward to the "Waah, my child didn't get such and such part in the Nativity" threads but there wasn't one 🥲 or I didn't see any.

I’d have to look, but so not to disappoint there have been at least two, they are definitely a tradition.

Oh yes! The complainers are always thoughtful and generous gift-givers, who take time to get to know every recipient's bespoke list of likes and dislikes. Such a shame when no one cares about them.

lilypetals · 24/12/2024 15:41

"when are you taking down your tree?"

Then absolutely ripping people to shreds because its the wrong day 😂

I will have a search while I sitting here doing nothing. I might as well, everything is done here! I love all the good Christmas threads. I like Facebook Christmas tat selling threads the best.

Iloveyoubut · 24/12/2024 15:44

I’m desperately hoping for a complaint about a relative’s performative under-eating! 🤞🤞

LindorDoubleChoc · 24/12/2024 15:45

All the dementors who've had their tree up since November getting up at 6am on Boxing day to expunge every last trace of Christmas from the house and spending hours deep cleaning and proclaiming that they're happy to be "back to normal".

AHFBridport · 24/12/2024 15:46

I was just thinking about this earlier - I'm hoping for 'freezing/starving at the in-laws' and 'terrible gifts'.

I'm sure I saw a thread last year where the person started taking down the decorations on Christmas Day itself. Not sure if it was spoof or real.

“O M G my turkey is rotten” when in reality they’ve failed to realise turkey is actually quite smelly unlike chicken

My boyfriend proposed but didn’t do it in this exact way with this exact ring, so I’m going to sulk and ignore him as thats how you treat people you love if they don’t get every 100% correct in your view

”I’m so stressed making this incredibly difficult meal” its a roast dinner, get a grip

”I miss x relative on christmas” reply “well you should count yourself lucky my entire family were murdered and I live in a bin”

”My baby looked at some blue cheese, do I need to take them to A&E?”
