No they don't need to go straight in the bin, how wasteful.
@turnsout has cleaned them, when she gets back from her trip she can decide what's ok to use herself& what's not. Linen napkins that only has a splash on the wrapping might be fine. I wouldn't touch any of the food myself, I'm a bit squeamish like like, but a candle would be fine.
I wouldn't give them to anyone else, but I'd consider each item for my own use.
i had a basket with a heap of clean fresh dishcloths, just taken off the line, about 20 of them. A neighbour stopped to chat on her way out for a walk, one of her dogs peed on them, full on adult dig volume all over them
I washed them extra long & extra hot & put them in the pile of dishcloths. No I didn't I put them in the 'dirty cloths ' bucket, used for 'dirty' jobs, car, boot cleaning, outdoor furniture etc
then put a machine wash on.
the number of people who said that was daft, they'd be fine as dishcloths once washed. 🤮🤮🤮
I'm having issues, I m not that keen on using them as dirty cloths!!! I will at least give them another wash.
@turnsout
let us know how you got on with your shopping!! Who is looking after the beautiful girl while you're away? Have you told them not to leave their bag/suitcase open or in the bed/floor???
