According to TMZ Blake Lively is suing Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment on the set of ‘It Ends With Us’.

According to the lawsuit, a meeting was held in regards to the hostile work environment. Blake demanded that Baldoni stop showing nude videos or images of women to her, no more mention of Baldoni's alleged previous "pornography addiction," no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crew's genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake's weight, and no further mention of Blake's dead father and no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by Blake outside of the script Blake approved when signing onto the project.

Baldoni’s representative have denied the allegations and state this is an effort for Blake to rehabilitate her recent poor image.

@elessar the motive being pushed as to why Blake would want to harm Justin is the film was a financial success (over 300 million profit) with Justin holding the rights for the second movie and Blake being the perfect choice to replace with her being a producer of the first. I'd argue that why would Blake bring the case knowing that there were areas when she could have behaved better and that it was going to be exposed. One act doesn't negate the other but you're not coming away clean. It's like calling the police because someone has crashed into the back of your car when you are drunk behind the wheel.

FeegleFrenzy · 05/02/2025 06:34

well I’m assuming the second movie will never get made now!

all of the texts that Justin is releasing give more and more weight to his side of the story in my eyes. Blake seemed happy and friendly towards him. He seemed considerate and caring. Maybe there was other stuff going on but if she was so unhappy and distressed why is she engaging in matey text exchanges?

AngeloMysterioso · 05/02/2025 10:01

I just can't be bothered with it any more, there's so much he said she said every single day that it's descended into farce.

Hear me out. No one in this story (including Colleen Hoover) cares about IPV. They all care about the money. All of them.

There is a video on YT about how they set this up to steal the movie. We know that RR caused such a stink on the first Deadpool movie, but this content creator shows the playbook, and it’s all to get a producer credit (pga) which means they make a ton on the sequel. It starts off with accepting a role as an actor with lower than market value, wait until 50% of the budget is spent, make demands that blow out the budget so they have to make the movie to recoup the money, get into the editing suite etc….

But this is where it gets interesting. I wonder if that is quite commonplace in Hollywood now, because money talks, I bet it’s what Brad Pitt did and he is now a big producer, and possibly something similar to Reese Witherspoon.

I hypothesise that JB lured them in or saw them coming, or at least worked it out pretty quickly. This guy has documented EVERYTHING. He had a microphone on in that scene where they weren’t recording dialogue. He has been quiet. He sued the NYT for a a ridiculous amount to get attention, and has been one step ahead the whole way. He has the rights to the second book. So I bet they offered to buy the rights, and he has caused this stink to get more money off them.

What's IPV?

he was actually advised to start recording everything by someone after she started being difficult

Him releasing that video where he was trying to kiss her and she kept saying no didn't make him look great though.

1)They were supposed to keep almost kissing in the scene
2) he released it to show that she had lied (eg saying he randomly said you smell so good as he traced down her neck) whereas he just said her fake tan smelled good when she said she was probably getting it on him

noblegiraffe · 06/02/2025 21:35

No, it was clear that she wasn't comfortable with what he was doing.

I disagree

How about point number 2?

Mirabai · 06/02/2025 21:53

No, it was clear that she wasn't comfortable with what he was doing.

Equally according to the intimacy coordinator quoted above the kissing wasn’t in the script. Here are her comments quoted upthread:

When asked what stood out to her about the scene, she said: 'The first thing is that he is trying to kiss her, and they clearly haven’t discussed that ahead of time, and she keeps pulling away and clearly doesn’t want to do that.'
Adding there was 'no kissing written into the scene' (a script excerpt reads 'EXT BAR – NIGHT. Lily and Ryle slow dance in the bar. Patrons around them drinking and watching sports. Completely in their own world'),

Schacter said if an intimacy coordinator had been present, they would have stopped any kissing.

She says it was Baldoni's responsibility to ask Lively what she thought of kissing in scene - but claims 'he just went for it. She pulled away, and then he did it again.'

Schachter said his alleged failure to communicate that was 'pretty damning, both as an actor and director.'

She doesn't 'think either one of them is lying. I think they’re both talking from their own experience. They are really strongly disagreeing about things like professionalism, etiquette, what’s appropriate, what’s not, what it means to be an actor.'

Quizzed on the power dynamic between Lively and Baldoni, Schachter said 'even though she’s Blake Lively and can say no and isn’t going to be fired for speaking her mind the way that somebody else might fear, she still has to keep working with him and keep the peace and play nice.'

She added she can 'see her appeasing him and trying to keep a smile on her face and that it was 'murky' as to who is truly in charge.

Schachter said she did not see the clip as 'vindicating Baldoni' and that if she were the coordinator onset she would have discussed what Lively was comfortable with and what Baldoni wanted as director so the pair were 'not caught off guard.'

That wasn't the intimacy coordinator on set though

Anyway, he offered for her to meet the IC and she said no

From BL or JB?

I know you are overly obsessed with this for some reason, but I watched the video and thought Baldoni was pushing things physically that Lively was clearly and vocally unhappy with which makes it very odd that Baldoni would release that video thinking it vindicated him.

Telling me you disagree is going to make fuck all difference to my opinion of what I watched and heard, so you might as well give up.

Oooooook.........
anyway he released it to show that (if you read what she said about this clip) it was taken out of context
they are acting, in a scene where they are supposed to almost kiss

I think you need to research the whole case

I am not trying to change your opinion, I am happy to debate. But don't just watch bits and pieces here and there - read alllll the messages to give context

noblegiraffe · 06/02/2025 22:03

he released it to show that (if you read what she said about this clip) it was taken out of context

Sure, and the video made him look bad, so that was an own goal.

She’s a professional and she’s read the script so she knows how that works. BL was on set and said she was uncomfortable. We can all watch the footage and see she looks uncomfortable. (Apart from you obviously)

BL didn’t refuse to meet with the coordinator - she just said she wanted to do it once they started filming in her texts.

AngryBird6122 · 06/02/2025 22:04

IMO (totally fine that you have another opinion) it was GRIM of BL to lie in her accusations but each to their own

I also think it was grim that she threatened him with her 'dragons;

i think ti was grim she talked about her 'yummy' ball busting play (her flirty love language - her words) and that she doesn't use teeth and talked about suppositories to him

Boxerbeans · 06/02/2025 22:05

I had barely even heard of either of them..::both a couple of second rate actors who will be most famous for this lunacy.
